DIY Volume Pedal: Would a wah pot work?

Would a wah pot work as a volume pedal pot?

It has the pinion already on it, and I don't know where I'd find a pinion that fits a pot if I get just a pot.

I cant see why it should not work, so go with it:)

I guess it is somewhere around 100kOhms, which should be fine? If its too big, you could parallell a fixed resistor.
