I played one that I fixed with the band this morning and enjoyed it.  I've been using my Night Train lately and the BJr was warmer but broke up nicely when pushed with a booster.  I like the snotty attitude the NT has but was really impressed with how well the BJr cleans up with the guitar volume.  I replaced fried cathode resistors on the amp and the input jack, and while I had it open I replaced the Master Vol and Reverb with linear taper pots.  Doesn't do anything except make the pot rotation proportional (as in "5" is about half volume).

The tweed looks very nice!
