Delay pedal issues with boost pedal

When I have my delay on, but boost off, the repeats are fine, but when I hit the boost pedal, it cuts my repeats down to barely more than 1 or 2 repeats. Any ideas what would cause this? Unfortunately, I don't have an effects loop, since I'm playing out of a 67 bassman and a blues junior. Anyone else have anything like this?
It's a Biyang AD-8 delay with the PT2399 chip with a fat pants boost

If the boost is before the delay, it's probably overloading the delay pedal.  Set the boost for unity gain and test it, then report back.

Have you tried putting the boost after the delay?  Also im assuming this is an analog delay?
