hi, I too wasn't really digging my double flush. I replaced r17 with 2.2k and then messed with C8 (.22uf) and tried a few different sizes till I went with a .1uf .The pulse is a lot better now.  I believe the tone is also much fuller and nicer now. Still not as awesome as my Boss TR2 that I modded.
But sounds way nicer to my ears at least.

If I were rich I'd buy one. It would be one of those "Look what I have that you don't" Kinda deals. I've made quite a few Klones and for the money they rock. I normally use the GCFX boards made by Rej in Canada. His are pretty close to the original pedal. Especially if you use the right parts. I would be fun to have an original centaur for build comparisons. But first, time to get rich. lol

Thanks Midwayfair! Wow! that's a lot of Diodes! Definitely a huge circuit. LOL. I thought it would be simple cause I've modded a lot of TR2's and have added a blinking LED. Those are pretty simple to do. There are also multiple ways to do it on those. I know the TR2s are a whole lot different circuit than the cave dweller.
Must be a limitation of the PT2399. Great sounding pedal though. Really am enjoying this build.

I have built a cave dweller and I really like it. I have done the mod to the dwell pot already and I have also added a switch to go between bright and the standard darker repeats. What I really want to do is add a blinking LED to show the tempo of the pedal.
Has anyone done this?

Way the gcfx chimaera is awesome!
Ive build 7 or 8 so far. Every time i build one one of my friends wants to buy it off me. I did a side by side of a real klon and the chimaera and the chimaera in my opinion is. Little richer sounding. I love it.

Just ordered some stuff from them today! Love their coupons. I was able to get a bunch of cases last week from Mammoth when they had the free shipping 4th of July. Their shipping is ridiculous.

I would love to see a BOM for this. I have a few friends want me to make these.

I actually got it working. It is working just there isn't much difference I can really hear using the led clipping or the mosfets. I did compare to my OCD pedal and I have to say its really, really close in tone. Maybe a little less muddy than the OCD. Which is a good thing.

I just built two also.l have one boxed up and think my clipping section isn't working. I hear no difference in mine. I also have the same issue really low gain. I am planning on boxing up my #2 tonight and we will see what it sounds like. If you find out the answer to your original question I'd like to know,

How did this all turn out on the bass? Im making one for my guitar and my bass player is looking at me making a bass compressor. Did the mods make it sound good on bass?

Which one is for the 125b size and 1590b? Thanks for your help.
