Try the Power Pellet project that Chromesphere on these forum's came up with
It's for helping to reduce mains power hum, so it might be of assistance to you, plus it doesn't take up much real estate on the pedalboard

It's perfect for a beginner level DIY guy like me, so if you are experienced with electronics then it should be really easy. There's only 5 components
That said, sometimes it's the little things that make the difference
My Power Pellet project is currently underway, and I'm looking forward to it being a permanent fixture on my board
I am also looking for a noise gate pedal as well to complement this, I too stack O/Ds, and like you I want to reduce as much noise as possible without putting my guitar back in the case, and unplugging everything....
I have a Telecaster mod, with Single coil P/ups.
Do you also have a Telecaster??
Is your guitar "Shielded" ??
