Not sure about the pot (not built this circuit myself), but the input cap switch is cool option, if you wanted to keep the enclosure size small, you could have two toggle switches one for in and on for out, with a few different caps on, do some testing and pick a few you like :)

I changed them around and now I get the hum on the Mayo like I did on the Rams head. I found out this was due to the ground on my 1/4" jacks. Now I am back to no sound. for testing I just set up input and output to the tips and the ground connecting them both at the sleeve, im sure that's right. I am going to build this audio tester tonight and give that a go.

When you changed the around, did you put new ones in, or did you put the old ones back in.

If not. One or more could be damaged from the heat.

If suggest, getting them out and putting down sockets in.

If it's anything like the Morley ones, they are spring loaded, and turn on as you push them down, maybe like a push to break kinda thing. Then when you take your foot off the treadle, it springs up to the top of the travel and turns itself off.

I live in London Paul, I'll meet you for a beer!
Although it will ruin the fact that in my head you look like Stevie Ray, as that was your pic for so long!

Just to add a bit of perhaps useless info:

The circuit has no problem with the Rat build I did, even on the highest gain settings. I had problems with the APIS Klon klone, were I would get high pitched oscillation as I turned up the gain. It was extreme. But I chalked it up to a grounding issue, or some knuckle-headed mistake of my own making. So for whatever it's worth.

By the way if anyone makes a batch of PCBs for these let me know if you'd be willing to part with a few (for a price of course.  8))

What charge pump do you have in the Apis? That can cause the squealing..

It's true these tiny pedals are so addictive, you'll think

'If I try and cram everything into the smallest box, then my board can have even more pedals!'

Great first A build, very neat :)

I didn't watch troys vid, just watched it, it sounds a bit better, but it sounded really raspy on higher gain settings.

I'm not too impressed, they did not Live up to my expectations at all. That drive sounded nasty, especially in the high gain setting.
