Ooooh no, I'm far too unfit to do running ;) I do this: http://juansolo.demon.co.uk/motas/juno14.html

That beer shop is ideal as it's en-route or there abouts for us and it stocks Oude Beesel. Stonking!
Ha! I should have made the link between racing and spa. :)
You, sir, have quite the interesting hobbies. Stompbox building, racing and drinking beer.  ;D

Yeah, and the shop even has equipment to start brewing your own beer. :)

I tend to make it to Belgium at least once a year for our annual run around Spa. Car is very broken at the moment though (wiring loom is completely melted...), need to fix that before planning anything really.

With "run around Spa" you mean actual running? As I am a runner myself.  :)
I can also really recommend a one day stop in Ghent.
It's my home town, is a little bit like Bruges but not too touristy and has the best belgian beer shop ever!

For some reason, Duvel has never really worked for me, although lots of folks I know love it.

The Chimay with the blue label in the US is called "grande reserve."  I don't know if it is the same as Bleu, but it is wonderful.

Ah, I also don't understand Duvel. The "alcohol taste" of that beer is just too in your face for me.

For those who like bitter beers, you should try Hoppus. Perfect for hot summer evenings.

But now that winter is coming, it's brown beers all the way. :)

Btw, if any of you guys would ever end up in Belgium, give me a PM and we'll go for some beers. :)

Ha, and Westvleteren is the Klon of Belgian beers
Good but overly hyped, because it is made in small amounts.

How do you deal with the taxes from customs? On big orders those costs must be huge.  :o
That's holding me back from doing big orders outside of Europe. I always try to keep my orders below 20 euros.

I think for most stuff, musikding is the shop to go to for European mainlanders.
They have almost everything you might need for pedal building (apart from some special condensator values germanium diodes and ic's) and they also seem to be a bit cheaper (both product prices as shippuing) then banzai
Recently they also started selling the angled pcb mount pots at 1,30euro a piece, which seems reasonable if you do the apple conversion rule of 1$=1€  ::) and compare to smallbear.

For the rest I mainly use futurlec (which are slow in shipping) and ebay.

Please, correct me if I am wrong.

Oh, and I don't get paid to say this, just trying to help out the people for whom smallbear is not an option.  :)
