I use Amplitube all the time, the Soldano lead is awesome.
On a winpc Overloud th2 is also very good.

On geofex.com there is a good solution,2 transistors and 4 resistors,works with anything.☺

Repairing this is a nightmare,I did one that was ripped by previous owner who thought was good to mess with those smd components.
Looking at all that circuit to produce a mild muffled repeat with a bit of modulation on top,IMO you can get any good digital delay and add low pass filter and mod circuit on delay signal and you'll be perfectly happy with more money in your pocket.

+1 on all above
PCB makes sense if you need complex circuits, and you need to replicate several times.
Design is also a big issue, and the PCB should be thick enough and stiff, not your average pedal thing.

The mixed cathode/fixed bias is the reason why this amp doesn't sound so good as it should.

The most difficult thing to do is the bias arrangement, circuit wise.
Search for any site that gives info on how to do the whole thing and realize if you could accomplish all of it.
I guess Paul Marossy had a section about it on his diyguitarist site.

check out any 60s fender schematic, you'll see that cap on a switch right on the 2 wire cable.
now you should be safe with current standards.
When you open the chassis check the dc voltage on the pin 1 of preamp tubes and pin 3 of the power tubes.
If you dont know what i'm talking about, well, don't do it for Gods sake!

with the cord unplugged, turn on the power and standby switch with tubes on,in a few minutes that will discharge caps.

68 was the year of the fixed/cathode bias super reverb.
I'd take a look inside just for checking that and the bias control arrangement.
Anyway its a gem!

Just turn down bass and treble to taste and pump up gain and volume, there you have it.

Any  poly film will do,best quality for the money is Sprague orange drop or Mallory 150,but we are talking about few millivolts to ground...

Try putting a 1k/100 ohms in series with the effect output, that should help discharge dc offset on caps

i was reading the post on fsb and found markgor shc. is that it?

But Man! I spend last night etching, pop, wiring....  :P I like the sound of this uproar, just wanted to have some clipping results

The tone mod is a must do.

But what about tweaking in the diodes, led colors and try to get some changes using the sp switch??

yes it is
i modified mine to fit those changes, adding some holes and moving components appropriately.
speaking of diodes,i think germaniums are overkill, never use them,i prefer the 2 red leds clear bright in general and for more dynamics and less compression the blue/4148 combination, thats enough and you can do it with a simple 1pdt

the Riot has been revised recently on fsb,no way you can get the original sound with the Uproar current project.
