Hi All,

First time post and (relative) newbie pedal build that I thought I'd share.  I've read a ton from members on this forum for advice & component choices so thanks for sharing your knowledge!  Special thanks to ncdb07 for the pics of your immaculate wiring & layout - definitely inspired me to take my time & make it a clean build.

Next time I'll go without the bezel on the LED and position it on the end of the gun.

Cheers,

That is a great looking build! Very nice work! I have been away for the last 8 weeks or so for training in Wisconsin or I would have noticed this sooner. I appreciate the comments about my build as well. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the kind words!

There are 1/8th watt resistors on the footswitch.

Here is another one recently finished for my Uncle's guitar tech. The enclosure color is Mammoth's vintage orange sparkle translucent. The knobs are from Jameco.

Any chance for a gut shot? Also, any chance for a demo?

Hope to do a gut shot this weekend along with better pictures in natural lighting. As for a sound clip, I don't have a way to do one. I can tell you this though, the chorus sounds in this thing are better than the Small Clone or the Boss CE-2. I am gonna build another one for me just for the chorus sounds! Hopefully someone can point you in the right direction for a good sound clip.

I do have one problem I need to chase down, the volume needs to be almost cranked to be the same volume as bypassed signal. It could be that I used a chip with a different suffix or a wrong component of some kind, or maybe that I am running it on 9 volts.

I have a question about this stuff... I am using the inkject paper, not a laser. I have had pretty good results from the white paper if I am using a graphic that covers the entire face of the pedal. The clear paper, however, has had mixed results. If I try to do a black graphic and have the pedal's color be the background, most of time I end up with a glazed or frosty effect that I don't like, or I have it come out half clear, half frosty or something. I have had it work out a couple times, but inconsistently.

What CLEAR paper gives the most clear, consistent result?

It would help if you could post an example so we could see the issue and help from there.

I use Papillo clear inkjet waterslide paper. I make sure to print it on my photo printer which has 6 separate ink tanks on its highest quality photo glossy setting before spraying with a clear enamel.

I tried using my wife's all in one printer with terrible results. The words were splotchy and not sharp in the edges at all.

I also use several drops of Micro Sol in warm water to soften the decal. It real helps to sort of melt the decal in to the enclosure. This also really helped me get good results with waterslide decals.

Hope this helps!

Beautiful work! Nice job with the resin, too. That stuff is trickier to get right than you think.

Believe me, I know. I ruined the 1st enclosure and had to order a second because of the resin. This one I used Juan and Cleggy's trick of applying Rain X before drilling and it made a huge difference.

Great build all the way around! I was expecting NSFW though  :o

If you look close you can partially see a nipple. Didn't want to get in trouble is all. Sorry for getting your hopes up.

This was built using Madbean's Current Lover pcb. This was a build for my Uncle and the graphics were his idea. I came up with the font and lettering. I am not happy with the pictures. I did them in a hurry. I will try and get some more using natural light tomorrow and some gut shots as well.

It sounds great! I am not really a flanger guy but there are some great sounds sounds in this thing. I used the MN3007 in case anyone was wondering.
