General Questions / Re: Egodriver volume
February 07, 2016, 10:16:34 PM
I got the same lack of Volume in my Ego Driver.
Even with Vol pot at Max, it doesn´t get so loud.
I´ll Increase R9 to 220k (or 270k) and check the changes.

I´d got the same problems, except for the Burned out Trimpot and I reduced the Clipping replacing R1 (4M7) for 1M. That makes a difference in the Input Impedance.
I´ll try replacing R3 for 1M too, and see what hapen.
Regards and thanks for the info.

Really fine add to the Delay.
I just can say try bypassing the Split n´ Blend Circuit to ensure that there is the problem.

Mods / Ego Driver: LP/HP Pot (Variable Resistor)
June 23, 2014, 03:55:55 AM
Well Friends, just a silly thing, but I´ve find it very useful.
Omit R12 (22k) and Replace R11 (33k) for 10k. (or something close).
Put a 25k Lineal Potentiometer and connect Lug 2 to that resistance and Lug 3 to C8 (47n) and Lug 3 of the Volume pot.
Now, you´ve got the switch values around the extremes of the Pot annd all the Intermediate Values Between.
That made my Ego Driver Even More Juicy and Tasteful.
Hope you like it.

Build Reports / Re: Egg Head with Clipping Switch

Thanks a lot for the great feedback, friends.
If someone needs more data about the Clipping diodes or anything else just tell me and I´ll see what I can do.
Best Regards.

Build Reports / Egg Head with Clipping Switch
December 16, 2013, 04:31:49 PM
This Project has some few months, but I´ve been very bussy.
A simple and very good Overdrive wich I´ve replaced the Clipping Diodes with a pair of cables that goes to a 2P6T Rotary switch and, from there, to another board where I put different diodes Combinations.
The little Toggle switch changes the In and Out Caps, adding Bassier frecuencies, making it useful with Baritone or 7 (and more) Stringed guitars.

The Rotary Switch with the Clipping Diodes Board:

Tryin´ to Fit it all inside the Box:

And, the finished Stompbox:

A few weeks ago, I gived it to a very good Guitarist who has his own musical projects and works as a sessionis in many reconrding. He is Ernesto Snajer, for the ones who would want to search him in youtube or google.
He really liked the pedal and that made me so happy and proud that I still can´t believe it. ;D ;D
Regards from Argentina.
