You can DIY your own Audio {Log} pots starting from a linear pot of the same value using the 10% approximation. See section called "Tailoring Potentiometers"

Interesting nuances.....

5kA= 5kB + 470 ohms across wiper & outer lug

I would like to run my Boneyard at +/-12V

Datasheet shows that the rated operational voltage is  1.5 - 12 volts and absolute MAX voltage is just 13V.  That seems dangerously close to the rated operational voltage when running at +/-12V.

Has anyone had any trouble blowing up these TC1044s by using standard unregulated 12V wall warts which start off around 14V and drop down under load ?
