Thanks for taking the leap of faith on the PT2399! also for the great info

I was looking at the spark plug PDF and followed the  Barberelectronics link which has really inspired me to try the whole OPamp stacking a go. Do you know what other chips could possibly be stacked... like a PT2399? Has anyone every tried to stack a BBD/delay chip and if it can be done what would the outcomes be? Thanks!

I feel like such a boob  ! looks like max voltage it can  handle at the collector is 20v if I read the datasheet correctly. Thanks for the reply!

Built 2 Hipster baby boards, one with BC 108's and the second with BC 109's

Just finished up a Hipster baby board build and Im running BC 108's. I messed around a bit on the bias ranging from 3.5v-5.5v on the collector of Q2 and didnt care too much for the fuzz so I cranked it to 8.2v and really dug the sound. Will this do any damage to the transistor and is it ok to just bias to taste? Thanks!

Through ToneGod's taptation chip set, the data sheet explains it alot better than I can but with a SPDT toggle switch you can select a quarter note,dotted eigth note,or sixteenth note and with the toggle furthest to the left makes the repeats duble of whatt you tap in so you get eigth note, dotted sixteenth note or 32nd note

Ive built two so far, one uses the seaurchin layout and the other uses the guitarpcb layout. both work fantastic. It was a really tight fit with the three toggle switches but what i ended up doing is laying the taptation pcb board in the pedal first and stacking the other pcb on top with a piece of wrapping foam in between them.

Yes! the taptation works great. if you plan on using it be sure to keep the wire that runs from pin6 on the pt2399 away from any power source. made this wierd noise that i couldnt figure out for a couple of days.

anyone have any ideas on the the feedback pot not working as mentioned on the above post?

okay so here are a few notes to make this work with the tap tempo board from guitar pcp. First you need to make a jumper between pin 3  and 4 of the pt 2399. second reduce resistor 18 from 2.7 to 1k. third be sure to connect the tap tempo board to the middle pad or number 2 of the delay pad. the only thing I'm trying to figure out now is that the feedback pot does not want to work I only get 1 repeat. any suggestions on how to fix this any help would be greatly appreciated

Im going to give the taptation set up from guitarPCB with an etched PCB of the sea urchin a go. I know that it replaced the original Time Pot and connects to pin6 of the PT2399. only question is do I connect it directly to the pin or after the Resistor.... any help would be great! thanks
