Matthew Good Band (early stuff, well I liked them)
Matt Good frequents my Starbucks. He gets a Venti Pike Place.
BTW, has anyone listened to his new album? I think it just has or will soon be released.

+1 to "Silent Radar" by The Watchman. AWESOME album!

Another 90s Canada band I love is The Odds (from Chiliwack, BC!) "Eat My Brain" and "Someone Who's Cool" are two of my favourites from them.

General Questions / Pulsing LED with Pork Barrel?
April 01, 2011, 10:13:31 PM
Is there a way to make the LED pulse? Something like connecting to one of the 'rate' pot lugs?

Requests / Re: Lofi loop junky
January 18, 2011, 09:09:05 PM
I bought a PCB of the Mobius Trip Looper off of Madbean last year. I slapped it all together and got it working. The 'record' footswitch and 'play' footswitch can be funny sometimes (like it doesn't work, unless I unplug the power from the pedal, and then plug it in again). It certainly does the lo-fi loop (minus the tremolo like the loop junky) quite well. I followed the documents from DIYStompboxes. And I used the ISD chip from Smallbear.

I really should snap some pics of it. Haven't come up with a design for it yet.

Sounds great (now that I can finally watch the video!).
I've got this waiting for me to build, with an CV7003 (aka OC44) as well!

I'm planning on doing the tone switch like you have. Can I ask what values you used? I'm assuming that simply selects the input cap?

General Questions / Re: Favorite Overdrive Poll

"Fav OD today" - That's the truth!

I love having my Sunking on all the time with the gain real low.
But for straight overdrive, I still love my Timmy. The most transparent, authentic OD I've played.

Says it's a 'private' video.
Did you do the demo naked or something?!  ;)

Where did you get the echobase pcb?
A guy on one of the forums (can't remember which, now) made a couple for himself. Apparently he always makes an extra in case he screws up one. His worked, so he had an extra one to sell.
Though I believe user 'Taylor' is or was selling fabbed PCBs over at DIYStompboxes. Not sure of the status of them right now. If you needed some documentation to get Madbean to make you a board, let me know (though I'm sure Madbean already has documentation on the Echobase).

Looks very nice - the simplicity of black and white makes it look ultra classy.
Thanks. I agree. I'm really into this basic black on white look phase. Timeless I suppose.

Thanks everyone. I am quite proud of this pedal.

The signal goes input -> Sunking -> Echobase -> output.
Yeah, two buffered pedals in one. I don't notice anything (though admittedly, I don't quite get the whole 'buffered' vs. 'true-bypass' thing - like I understand how it works physically, but I really can't hear a difference, aside from my tone-sucking Hendrix wah that I true-bypassed - as a matter of fact, the footswitch for the Echobase actually came from my Hendrix wah!).

However, it's all moot, because we don't know if the signal goes that with our friend here's pedal. It might, but there's no indication of that right now. It just looks that way because of the way the pedal is laid out. The sunking on the left could be first in the guts - we have no idea right now.
Is that some sort of shot at me to make me post a 'guts' shot?! :)
Here you go. A gut shot with the CUTEST model in the background wanting 'in the shot'!:

I know it's subtle, but I really like the dots around the knobs. Really makes it look professional. Great job!
