General Questions / Re: Spaceman vinyl faceplates?
February 01, 2018, 09:09:44 PM
I have a CO2 laser and honestly I don't think it looks anything like this.  It's too clean to be rastered.  It looks either like a photographic process or a really well done CNC engraving.  Thanks though - I'll keep digging!

My last pedal was etched and it come out looking pretty cool.  I really want the "60s" look for this one though.

General Questions / Spaceman vinyl faceplates?
January 31, 2018, 02:48:22 PM
Hi all!

I'm building a few pedals and I've fallen in love with the faceplace art on the Spaceman effects.  I think the vinyl is super 60's awesome looking.

I can't figure out how they create their vinyl faceplates though - has anyone ever reproduced something like that?  I can do the art - I'm just curious about how they actually manufacture the vinyl overlays themselves.  I don't think it's CNCed or lasered right?  Is it printed somehow?

Thanks!

I'd actually love a mini sized SMD Cave Dweller as well. Get two cascading delays into a 1590?  Woot!!

Depending on priced definitely be up for at least 2. A stereo Sea Urchin anyone?

Hey PickDropper - any chance you could give us a copy of the artwork or maybe even the Eagle files?  Do you think that Press-N-Peel could handle the traces?  I'd really like a good SMD project to get my feet wet - I really want a SMD Cave Dweller but I'm not quite (yet) up to drawing stuff for SMD.

Thanks for the AWESOME and inspiring work brother!

Cool - I've got a special enclosure baking right now for this one.  I'll post her when she's done.

General Questions / Spackler cap question
October 09, 2011, 05:05:48 PM
Hi all,

I'm building a Spackler and I have a quick question.  The 22pf caps in the feedback lop of the opamps actually creates a slight treble boost correct?  So if I replace them with 47pf caps I'll simply be dropping the freq of the boost down a bit as far as I can tell.  Does anyone know how much change it will be?  I'm all out of 22pf and I can't find any locally and I hate to order just 2 caps from SB - I've got a pile of 47pf and there's not room on the board to double up the caps..

Thanks all!
