With 1,800,000 ohms being the absolute, a 1% tolerance would be1,782,000 to 1,818,000 ohms

I'm certainly in tolerance.

Haha brief summary of my dweeb post here...
I went full dork and should have just math'd it from the get go.

Have I built hundreds of pedals, well yea. Is my ability to be a goof always a factor?

Abso-dweebin-lutely!

Thanks for the responses fellas, I'm sure I'll need em again!

Build Reports / Monkey Slayer.

i think that is what ima call it anyway..
this is a build for a new buddy from over here at madbean!

this is what the odd wiring diagram was for.
the pup selection is a bit odd too.

the pickups are

neck - DiMarzio fast track (18.07k)
mid - DiMarzio HS-2 (14.97k)
bridge - Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates (8.35k)

i used a 250k pot for the neck, and a 500k for the mid bridge.
also i used a .065u nos pio cap on the tone. the sweep is crazy!!!

I forgot to add a lil shout out to Adam Reiver at FU-Tone.com for the custom tremolo and neck!!
look at the full block on this friggin thing!!

this thing is a bit of a beast fellas!!!

with the neck, instead of the straight out tuning keys, i tilted em.. all the fine tuning is done with the floyd trem!

the wiring gave me headaches for days and days.. but here it is all done and pasta fabulous!

hell, there is even a custom neck plate goin on!

skulls are good. nuff said.

closer in on the completed body

and, full frontal!

goofy question because of how much there is goin on with the zp-sdx. but is it possible to add tap tempo?
i do realize that if it were added, it would need to be a 1/4 jack into a tap pedal kinda setup..

General Questions / Re: darkside volume issue

Long you live and high you fly
And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry
And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be.

when i take out the diodes, it is pretty loud.. i didnt have any of the recommended ones so i just tried out what i had on hand..

i wanna go with bat41   i did have to sub some of the resistors as well. some of the values were odd so i just put the closest that i had in it. i might go back and make a list of what i need and just make an order for some if the new diodes dont help.

General Questions / darkside volume issue
March 11, 2012, 07:14:20 AM
hi everyone!
so i just finished my darkside build.. it was some kind of special run that had some lyrics from dark side of the moon screened on it!! (lil extra mojo perhaps!!)

i like the way it sounds, but it isnt putting out much volume.. less than unity gain even!

i subbed a 100kA pot for the volume.. should i go with some other value?
