I was getting like 5.5 volts until the noise happens, and then it drops to like 3 volts. Looks like i'm gonna need to swap that guy out. I'll also test out the ghost resistor values.

I built a Zero Point DD to specs except for the 78l05 which I accidentally ordered the L7805CV from tayda. Anyhow, the thing works great except after 2 minutes or so of playing it starts screaming likt its  from the twilight zone. It scared me to death the first time I heard it.

Also, the ghost mod can't be heard super well if at all (is this how it is supposed to be?)

Any help would be excellent!

Also, the terminal voltage drops down to around 1 volt when plugged in, what is this a sign of?

No signal whatsoever I'm thinking its some sort of short in the circuit. The onlny chip I might not have orientated correctly is the 4558 because it has no divit in it, only a circle, which way should that be orientated?

I don't have a camera on me right now, but I am talking about the holes under like R10 and C6. I think there is 5 of these total (excluding the ones for the BBD jumpers)

This is probably a really stupid question, but why is there holes in the pork barrel board where no components go? Am I supposed to jump wires between these? My board isnt working and I think this might be why... I did the jumps for the IC though.

Thanks for the replies! I have very little knowledge when it comes to IC's and how to subsitute them for the ones on the B.O.M. for pedals. I think i'll pass on the IC's, but he also has a few thousand resistors he said

Hello, so I was looking for caps and resistors and such, but stumbled upon this: A guy is seling 10,000 IC's for $100. Yes you heard that right. Along with resitors caps and switches (unsorted). He gave me this list also, do you guys think these are good IC's for pedal building. What is the resale value of these?

I know that it says in the build guide that their will be some popping and I wired it up the way that the diagram shows, but there still is significant "pop" when engaged. Is there any mods/fixes that would fix this?

1) After, just make sure the joint is good in the first place and you should be fine.

2) It doesn't really matter. If you have a fabricated board you really don't need to tin it.

3) I personally do not. I do have a helping hand with a magnifying glass on it though.

4) I have a vise that I use, just make sure to put wood on the sides to not damage the finish!!! Most people use a drill press around here too, I think. I do it by hand.

you can twist wires with a drill, I found that that works the best and you get a nice tight twist. Just put one end of the wires in the chuck and have something hold the other end and turn the drill on slowly and then slowly run a pencil or some straight object in between the wires while the drill is going

Has anyone got shipments from them lately? Because I am pretty sure they are down for the chinese new year, which if you know anything about chinese companies, lasts 15 days 

I always stat with one thing: I plug in a power supply/battery and check if the board is getting 9v when turned on. If no pwer to the board, it is probably the wiring of the switch/jacks that is your problem. Is your LED even working?

I have the same amp and love the chorus, I have no idea what chip it is though

I would probably stick to the MLCC, but I think the top is negative, bottom is positive of the cap just looking by the schematic. I hope this helps.
