merlin's 2 books are pretty much the only books you need to start out.

proper heatsink technique.

always use a mica or other ceramic isolating sheet between the back of the 220 casing.

always use a plastic or ideally teflon insulating washer between the screw and the mounting holes.

best practice - use a non-conductive screw.

the exposed back plate on a non self insulated 220 package is always connected to the cathode or the output.

I "Eagle'd" some boards up.  It's a little different than the aquaboy double delay.  I based the board off the schematic on SmallBears site for the fake mn3005's.

Josh

does that work with the mn3005?

are you talking about the custom audio electronics se3+?

that's the front end to the Suhr/CAA OD100se+

there's no schematic of either as far as I'm aware.

Ya i was trying to use some rn60 resistors since i didn't have the values in rn55 but i'm not gonna be able to use them at all.

I think I'm going to have to mount the resistors on the other side for me to even have any chance of fitting the caps properly...

not to mention that I got wimas in 1uf, 2.2uf, 4.7uf, and 10uf.

I'm going to have to build an adapter board for them.

I'll fix it for my other two boards. Stilts for the first board.

now to desolder the stand up resistors sigh.

Mercury Magnetics- I think they make the best stuff out there for sure. The problem is, it's double the price and you are not getting double the sonic quality. Their transformers are great but Heyboer is half the price and I seriously doubt anyone will hear the difference. My favorite of theirs is the $300 transformer upgrade kit for a $125 epiphone valve jr 5 watt amp. Are you kidding me?

not even...

edcor beats out mm at less then half the price.

at the same price onetics completely destroys mm.
