Probably my last question,

Ordering capacitors, do all the caps have to be 25V rated or is 50V alright for electrolytic?

Since your only gonna be applying 9 volts of power, 25V will work just fine. If the project your doing is using more than 25V, make sure your caps are 36V-50v to be safe.

If I use 50V to save from shopping around, will it operate just the same?

Thanks for the support.

I'll go with metal 1% for smaller value resistors and Film 5% for the 10M resistors.

Thanks for the links too. Very helpful!  :)

General Questions / Understanding Parts

Hey there. I'm pretty new to building pedals but I hope to get better.

On the parts list for the Slambox some values are 5k1. Is this an older way of putting 5.1k resistors? Also on the topic of resistors, 1% metal film are recommended, right?

A capacitor is 100n. What is that value representing?

Finally, a diode is 9.1v Zener. Does anyone have a link to either Small Bear or similar suppler that sells it?

Thanks everyone.
