Are more overdrive projects coming?  The list looks a little barren right now.

It isn't happening from applying too much heat. Some of the pads seem to come loose when rubbed with a finger. When touched with an iron they come off completely. Like I said, some are fine. However 4 have come off a 3 unsoldered pads are loose. I would like a replacement if possible.

Tech Help - Projects Page / Serendipity problem
July 27, 2011, 03:04:07 AM
I was populating the circuit board today and as I applied the soldering iron some of the square solder rings came off. Most were fine, but a few of the square ones especially came off. If I try to continue soldering I am afraid I will melt the board.

Since the Serendipity was discontinued and it seems I have a faulty PCB, what can I do?

Requests / Deadringer questions...
July 25, 2011, 09:30:35 PM
Hi, I am wondering if the Deadringer can be run at 18 volts without any special modifications and also if anyone knows where I can find a 1n4005 diode for this build. Small bear does not have it nor do any of the other suppliers I use. Thanks

I don't want to this to turn into a bashing thread, but.....

I've ordered more than once from them and each time I've had either scratched & undercoated enclosures and/or missing parts.  They kinda made it right by replacing the missing parts.  But now they aren't responding and righting the orders...  Before, they were beyond fast with their response.

The thread title says it all.  I'm done for good with em...

It does not have to be a bashing thread, but it could serve as a warning to other prospective customers to shop there at their own risk.

Won't order from mammouth again. Shipping is outrageous compared to other sights. From my order, seven of the knobs I ordered either did not fit or were missing screws, one broken pot, two broken 3pdt, I ordered a PNP transistor and got a NPN, two of the six LED's were bad, resistors mis labled on bags (220 ohm in with a 1M). I am sure others have had better/worse experiences, but as far as I am concered, I  will stick with other suppliers.

I would be truly grateful if you offered the Sunking again, even if you imposed limitations on production. I started making my own pedals recently after growing tired of paying obscene prices for boutique pedals. I have been pleased with places like Madbean and BYOC for their quality products and helpful advice.

I really love the idea that a company like Madbean offers people the chance to build a pedal that would otherwise cost several hundred dollars. To me, there is something truly special about buying a PCB, sourcing the parts, soldering it all together and hearing a beautiful sound at a fraction of the price.

I don't understand the hype surrounding pedals like the Klon Centaur or King of Tone. They are great sounding pedals but not worth the amount of obsession surrounding them. This is especially true when it prevents someone who would like to build one from doing so because high demand has exceeded supply.

I found out about Madbean after growing frustrated trying to find someone selling a PCB for a Centaur clone. Another sight, not to be named, offered a PCB at an inflated price and it was not even an accurate copy of the original. By all accounts the Madbean version was the best copy available and  I decided to order one from there. However the store was closed by the time I found it and when it re opened the Sunking was gone.

If it is never to return then so be it, But I for one would like the chance to try and build it just for the sake of having done so. A limit of one per customer, wait list or even just offering it once and a while would be much better than ending production forever. I like this company and everything that it produces and my loyalty as a customer would be ensured for a long time to come if I did not feel like I had to buy of boards as fast as I could for fear of them being gone forever.

Hi, I was wondering if any of you could help me out with a diagram on how to wire what is essentially 3 pedals in one enclosure. I have a diagram for two, but not three.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
