Thank you Mr. Madbean! I stared at the circuit some more and can't come up with anything else either. Either way, if it's the right part it works for me. Cheers!

Hi there, just wanted to double check that the correct value for C3 in the Glasshole is 100nF?

The pcb footprint is for an MLCC cap as opposed to a box film footprint, while the other 100nF caps (C20, C24) are box film footprints. I do use 100nF MLCC's for power filtering, but can't think of a reason to use them specifically in an opamp feedback loop. Also 100nF *seems* like a high value for it's spot in the schematic too. But what do I know! Just wanted to check it's not supposed be 100pF, for example.

Thanks!

Awesome. Thank you for the feedback

Greetings,

I have a general question on DIY pedal/forum etiquette here. I'm wondering if it is poor form to post a build report based on someone else's homebrewed schematic, if said schematic has been removed from where it originated? Obviously, I would give full credit where credit is due.

There are two separate schematics in question here, and I don't know why either are not available in their respective threads anymore. I've tried wayback machine, etc, so it seems like some level of intention to remove was present (not just broken links/images), plus maybe the nature of a dusty old thread added on top. But I am not 100% certain, both threads are not exactly easy to follow in general either (a lot of evolution, multiple thread locations). Are there reasons a schematic would get wiped from a forum thread I might not know about?

I'm interested in sharing my build report because I'm quite proud of it. It took me a good amount of time to put together the leftover pieces and crumbs I could gather from those threads to make what I think are close to exact versions of the original ideas. Also, if I did a good job with my write-up I think it would be a useful addition to concisely present some super cool but convoluted ideas.

Thoughts please? Maybe the answer is I'm the only person who cares just because I spent so much time on this project  ;D

Cheers!

I've been lurking on this thread for a while, so seeing some recent activity I also toss in my hat. I would love to see a final schematic! I have also never gotten the "Microsynth" side of the circuit to sound quite right from schematics I've pieced together.

That being said, I did get my hands on some DM-90s and they do make a nice difference. But I've delayed making the MSA + ESR (DM-90) version final on stripboard because I want to compare with the MSA + Microsynth version (if I could get it figured out).

Much appreciation for all the work and creativity that has been done here   :D
