Hey all,
So I had the pleasure of ordering a set of proto boards from OSHpark recently. Still love them and they do offer a fantastic and quick service. I am wondering if any of you order from OSHpark still for the 3 board proto set. Is there another fab house that you use for this? Thanks everyone!

I use Oshpark for little daughtercards a lot, to me that's their sweet spot. Digikey's DKred service is comparable as long as you don't need slotted pad holes. IME both withstand multiple rework cycles a bit better than the standard JLCPCB boards, which IME are just fine otherwise. DKred tend to throw in a bonus board or two routinely, but my most recent order was for four boards and I actually received nine.

I ordered on the 13th and it hasn't shipped yet, FWIW. My first order since the ownership change went out the next day, so I am quite disappointed.  Emailed yesterday to see what's up and no reply yet on that either.

Welcome!  :) Preamp designer sounds very interesting, made up a Bartolini workalike from a DIYSB schematic recently and it sounded ace.

This is my long running open source thread on Talkbass: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/the-passinwind-open-source-preamp.1259692

And then there's a gallery of some of the NAMM basses I've done preamps for here: https://oem.passinwind.com/

It's strictly a hobby deal, and I am planning on retiring from even that very soon now. I've designed and built a number of bass amps too, and shown those in my friends NAMM booth as well. But actually mass producing those would be way out of my wheelhouse, esecially since most of them are Class D and the regulatory hoops are quite daunting.

Introductions / I am Passinwind and some of you are not

I'm a very long time audio gear repair tech, avid DIYer, and wannabe onboard preamp designer, but pedals are a relatively new direction for me and as I'm porting back to some guitar playing from several years of going bass-only, I figure it's time to have a look around and get familiar with what's up these days. Plenty of familiar faces already, I reckon some of you will recognize me from Talkbass especially.

Lots of really nice work on display, looking forward to picking up some build tips and other inspiration!
