Stone me, is this a wind up?! They look fantastic, are you a pro photographer as well? Awesome work, carry on chief!

thank you! i took some studio classes last semester so i was used this as an opportunity to keep practicing photography and also photoshop (the main reason i did diy pedals was so i could make the graphics lol)

Those look somewhere around 10x better than my first 3 pedals.

haha thanks! i spent a full month watching pedal videos on youtube and reading forums like this before i built them, so ig it paid off

I got into pedals this summer and made a Donut (pink), Florist (blue), and a combined GreenBean/SlowLoris (yellow). I based my graphics off of loteria cards and took more freedom with the Dist/OD, adding some avatar references. Also, i just wanna thank this community because you guys answered a lot of my questions and helped me exceed my expectations of how these would turn out. thank you!!

I think they turned out great for being my first pedals and I only had one minor drilling error! Only complaint is that GreenBean needs the DRIVE pot to be below 10% or else it is way too much, but that might be because of the mods i made in order to exclude the LOW pot.

I also made a tiny pedalboard out of some wood i had:

my favorite design (favorite sounding was florist):

and here's some wiring:

everything baaaarely fit on this one:

edit: i also wanna point out the graphics are just on photo paper from walgreens (coated with armor-all) glued onto the enclosure with elmers and a bit of superglue, it seems to be holding up well enough, but also i've only had them for about a month. I think this is a great option if your trying to minimize costs. I followed this video.

I used 58 instead of 57 and my bloom pot seems to be working fine so I don't think that's the problem. good luck!

Oh ok so from what I understand the capacitors (c4,c5) are setting the range of clipped frequencies and having them in parallel is already the stock version so I just need the resistor to connect it to the rest of the circuit?

So if I leave the holes for the pot empty would the circuit just skip over those capacitors or would they still be doing something? And if they do get skipped is there something else that is setting the range of clipped freqs?

Also, how much of an effect would the value of the resistor have??

(sorry for so many questions, i now regret not paying attention when they taught circuits last semester :'( )

Uh oh, so I'm making a Green Bean but I decided I only wanted the 3 typical pots and left out the LOW pot. I had read on the Pork Barrel that its BLEND pot could be omitted without any other changes and I assumed the same would apply for the Green Bean. I still don't fully understand schematics, if the pot isn't there will it be like a break in the circuit or does it continue another way?

(I am also missing a Si transistor and I currently just have some wire in its place which is probably the reason why the pedal isn't working right now, but I'm still curious about the omitted pot)!

No! No! No!
Don't cut it off, just remove it. It's easy to do...
There is a tab on the metal piece that keeps it connected to the plastic housing. Look at the little hole in pic #1. Stick a needle nose or something small and rigid that will fit into that hole and press until the tab is flat. I usually hear a click when it becomes flat with the rest of the metal piece. What you want to do is make the metal flat and then the metal piece will just slide out. Then the jack will be exactly like a mono jack.
I hope I explained it well enough.

Thanks, that worked great!

I did exactly the same thing and bought 12 of them. I use a punch to dent the tab back in and it slips right out. In the same order I bought a bunch of 2.5 lumberg power jacks as well. It was a bad order day.

dang. i also had bad order day, i somehow ordered log pots instead of linear and vice-versa haha.

I accidentally ordered stereo Lumberg 1/4" jacks instead of mono. I'm doing a pretty tight build (Slow Loris and GreenBean in 1590BB, also open to advice on that) and the extra contact and lug of the stereo jack is getting in the way. I was able to bend down the extra lug so it is flat, but I was wondering if I can cut off the second, shorter contact? Also is it fine if the extra lug is left unused or does it need to be wired to ground?

I am attaching picture because I might be explaining it wrong:

Hello, the florist BOM listed LM78L05 which I ordered from Tayda. However I now realize it is Surface mount and the pcb is for 3-pin. After searching on tayda, from what I understand the 3-pin version is called LM7805 (no extra L). I am confused because I ordered the piece with the correct name so is this an error on the BOM or is there a way to use the surface mount version on the pcb??

General Questions / Florist Blend control?
July 09, 2020, 06:10:16 PM
Description:  CCW - no effect mixing, 1/2 up - chorus, CW - vibrato.

I'm confused, does this mean CCW is essentially bypass, 1/2 up is only Chorus and CW is only vibrato?
What would the in between positions do?

Also, is vibrato just like faster chorus or is it actually completely changing the effect?

Hello, first time building a pedal (Donut) and there is a section at the end of the PDF that gives voltages for the transistor. I'm not sure what this information means or how it should be affecting the way I build it/parts I buy. Would appreciate if anyone could explain it. (The chart I'm referring to: Q1:5088, C:6.88v, B:0.77v, E:200mV)
