 I am curious to know what ICs and diodes those who built and use the Sunking ended up choosing - especially those who also might be using a 6v6 powered  amp. Anyone fit into that category?

 If one were to split up the dual gang gain pot on the Sunking, and install 2 individual  pots instead, would this add some interesting/usable variations to the pedal? Thanks

  I built an Egodriver that sounds great, however the volume needs to be at 85% or so for unity, just like the person who socket-ed the transistors & several other things to get their's functioning  -  I don't see how socketing resolved the problem other than the resolder of the components, so other than checking for solder bridges and resolder  that I've done already, what can I try to get it working properly ?  Here's a couple of pics, the voltages on the ic measure:
1 =6
2=6.1
3=5.8
4=0
5=6.1
6=6.1
7=6
8=11.9

I was going to ask about an optical compressor, so I sure would be in favor of that one!

 I had noticed a site that listed the D4 for a Klon clone as a 1n4739 - what might change in the sound using one of those rather than the 1n4742 in the Sunking? Thanks.

When I ordered the caps for my Sunking project,  I ended up with a silver mica 500v cap for the C8 - would this be ok , or the wrong idea?
