Audio/Video Demos / Re: Harbinger One sample

You should do it, specially because is not a difficult build, it's just a lot of components to solder and check and has all that classic sound of an original univibe that is cheaper and better than many clones out there.

Fixed it!

it was the zener diode.  No noise anymore, now I can enjoy my fuzzface in peace.

Finished this build a week ago, sounds absolutely amazing.

I just realized now that I used a 0.5W 15V zener diode instead of the 1W required.  Could that be the problem of my hiss noise? I don't know what a lower wattage  zener diode does to the circuit, Everything works though, only it's noisy.

I'm also having that problem, there's  a hiss noise that pulsates with the lamp,  it's barely noticeable when I play clean stuff, but very noticeable and annoying when I play with gain pedals.

Build Reports / Harbinger One (horizontal build)
May 31, 2017, 04:08:28 PM
My first univibe build.

I enjoy horizontal schemes, so i decided to flip everything and put the jacks on the upper side. I had to use a taller enclosure for that, I ended up using a 1590BBM, the input jack barely fit, i was lucky ahahah. I also like the mojovibe design so I chose purple color. Didn't want the indicator led so i just put the speed led in yellow. I'm glad it all worked out perfectly, it got all that classic vibe from mr. hendrix and gilmour, such a cool sound.
