Hi, I know this is an old thread, but I have a Carbon Copy on my bench that has the same problem, no wet signal, only dry signal either in bypass and engaged.

This are my voltage readings:

Q10: G=7.1v, D=0v, S=0v.
Q11: G=7.1v, D=2.6v, S=0v.
Q12: G=7.1v, D=0v, S=0v.
Q13: G=7.1v, D=0v, S=0v.
Q14: G=8.7v, D=4.1v, S=3.5v

Do these readings point to dead transistors? I'm about to order some J177, but I'm still in time to throw another component in the basket.
Thanks!

ah really, mammoth‽ I just placed an order with them yesterday, and I was struggling to come up with enough products to get to the $49 free shipping. I would have happily gotten a handful of them, especially because they're discounted. Oh well, at least I know where to find them from now on.

Discontinued? Where did you read that?

Many thanks to all for the replies!!
Finally I found them! The guys from Walrus kindly answered my mail. The knobs are from Mammoth  :o I had them on my face all the time but I thought they were available only in black. Looks like you can choose from many colours!

Ordered some already  :P

Thanks Flanagan!

I had a look at Newark and looks like they have some that are somewhat similar but in Silver:

They have some knobs in gold, too, but they don't look the same as Walrus'

Found similar knobs from china (Daier)
Maybe it's the picture, but the gold one looks more yellow than gold

I emailed Walrus Audio... What can I lose?

Hi guys,

The other day I was looking at the limited edition of the Deep Six Compressor from Walrus Audio.

I fell in love with those gold knobs. I searched them in all the shops I usually buy (Mammoth, Smallbear, ppp, uk-electronic, etc...) but couldn't find anything.

Looks like VFE also has them as an option

I'd love to buy some for my projects. Do you guys know where to find them?

Many thanks in advance :)
