The traces on top of the pcb have been lifted right off and can't be put back on. The bottom is intact.

Tech Help - Projects Page / Mudbunny PCB
January 28, 2013, 11:31:49 PM
Arrgh! I just did a terrible thing and lifted two pads off of my mudbunny pcb. I was replacing some parts and lifted the pads off the top of the pcb. Unfortunately, this is one of the older white pcb's with the mid pads, pre 2012. I was looking at the project docs and noticed on the fabbed version image that maybe the traces on the bottom are the most important, which are intact. Can anyone verify this? And if it's pooched, would anybody have an extra one floating around for sale? Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

Count me in too. I bought the blue one, sn-1 I think? Excellent tuner, I love how fast it tracks, incredible.

Open Discussion / Re: Tinning an etched board

I used 4% silver solder to tin my Big Muff pcb and it turned out fine. Just take your time and don't rush, and use a lower wattage soldering iron, 35 watts.

THe underside looks like the old EH pcb's.

Kraftwerk, Devo, Talking Heads, The Clash, The Police, Duran Duran. That's pretty much it. It wasn't until 10 years later I started listening to other stuff like Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Cream, etc. I listened to a lot of crappy 80's stuff back then. I'm much better now.

Jack Orman's version 2 tone stack is what gave me the incentive to look further into the mid boost.

I had a friend over recently and he never tried a fuzz pedal before? I called him a freak, he tried my muff pi, and now he's freaking out more, and he wants one. Cool.

For a huge mid boost or scoop replace four parts in total, R18 to 1k5, R19 to 47k, C10 to 22nf, and C11 to 5.6nf. Use a 20kb pot for the mid control.

I used BC549c trannies in my build and I can tell the difference/audible in gain/tone compared to the BC549b.

Wouldn't a Fuzz Factory get close to this? I know the controls Stab and Comp change the biasing of the transistors and would give you that sputtering sound?

The enclosures look like transformer housings.

Go Leafs go? I hope they're doing well on the golf course too!  :P

Finally the Canada Post strike is over, I got my boards in and I'm stoked!  ;D

Update: Back to work legislation could be as soon as Thursday.

I'm waiting on 3 boards myself!  :'(

A quick update, it looks like the government is stepping in to end the postage strike. They are pushing through back to work legislation as of this afternoon. NDP are going to try to stall, but, the PC's have a majority and it looks likely to go through.

I just saw the news, and it looks like Canada Post is back to the bargaining table with the union. They are going to be working on a settlement through the weekend. On Monday, volunteer staff are supposedly, going to open depots in order for seniors to receive their government cheques, that's it. So, no mail for while now.

As for the fellow Canadians that overreacted, it was incited by people who knew that it was a boiling pot after the loss, it was coordinated and calculated, achohol and drugs also fueled the fire. The images on T.V. were unsettlling, I thought we as Canadians learned from 94's riot, I was wrong. It had nothing to do with hockey, a shame indeed.

But, I'm glad that it hasn't dampened the spirit of the real sports fans here, it's nice to hear your stories.

I'm GASSING really bad for a new project, I just might have to veroboard instead because of the delay.

I'm not sure how long. The government may step in and put them back to work. It sucks.

Don't send any packages to Canada, they may be sent back to the sender, or worse, lost.

Arggh! I may never see the boards I ordered off of here, how frustrating!

To top it off, Vancouver loses, and a bunch of turds make Canada look like a bunch of asses!

Anyway, Boston played a fantastic game, Thomas was dynamite.

Any hockey fans out there?
