If I can't find a replacement I'm fully prepared to file away...or put my drill press to work and drill the enclosure.

Here is the picture. The switch on the right is from the TS808HW. All of my switches are round and won't fit into the body of the pedal because the hole is shaped, not perfectly rounded. Any ideas?

Does anyone know where to source a 3PDT switch to replace the original in the TS-808HW? A friend asked me to replace his broken switch and the original isn't "normal". The sides of the shaft with the threads is cut. The pedal won't accept a circular "normal" switch because the hole isn't round. I'll try to post a picture as I'm sure my explanation sucks.

Are these switches any good? (I can't find a direct link to the actual switches on the Mammoth website.) I need to order a bunch, as well as other components, and would like to save money, but not at the cost of quality.

I'm in the US. I've only etched boards using laser printer transfers and ferric chloride. I've done 10 or so pedals with my etched boards and haven't had any issues. 

As I'm gearing to start building again I'm looking into other methods to see if there is a "better" method, or just understand the pro's and con's better. Friends and a few guys at my local shop have asked me to make them some pedals so I'm looking to improve my quality and efficiency where I can.

In my opinion it is. I have a bad habit of trying to use OD's as distortion pedals and I get plenty of gain. I'd say it's got more gain than the Eternity (Neutrino) and is on par with the Zendrive (Serendipity). Again, just my opinion. Hope it helps.

The Glitterratti is a great build. I actually bought the real BB Preamp used at Guitar Center and pulled out the Glitterratti last night and A/B'd for an hour or so. My build has as much gain as the original. In fact, the gain knob on my build adds the gain too quickly. By 9 o'clock it's pretty hot. I checked the build specs and I have the correct B1M installed. Anyway, the build is very close to the original. I think it's a little brighter with a bit more presence. This could be because I didn't measure any of my components in the early days. I really do love this pedal.

I'm sorry I don't have tech knowledge to help. I just wanted to let you know mine was very close to the original and the gain was all there. I used all the stock values in mine. Maybe double check all the values? Sorry to hear you're having issues.

Hello all- just wondering where you guys buy your pcb boards for etching. Are there brands/boards that are better than others? I'm looking to do several builds in the near future and have wondered if a fabbed board sounds better or different than a home etched board. Any and all opinions welcome and appreciated.

Hello Madbeaners! I don't expect anyone to remember me, but I've been away for quite a while. Life is crazy and I'll leave it at that. I'm excited to get back to building some pedals and hopefully contributing to the forum however I can.

I would like to say that I've been loving a lot of the Madbean builds. I had the opportunity to buy a Zendrive. Man, that's a killer overdrive. I a/b'd it with the Serendipity and to my delight I returned the Zendrive. The serendipity is that good. There was a very subtle difference in the high-mids, but to my recollection I had to fudge a few resistor values. I'm going to build another for a friend. Anyway, just wanted to encourage anyone looking for a great OD to build it. I believe it's in the extra projects forum somewhere.

Sounds great. It's my go to distortion for heavier stuff. I agree with the tone knob. I keep mine lower than 3, otherwise it's just too bright for my taste. Nice video, it's cool to see it all in motion, the sound and the guts/build.

Play a nice fat chord on the Bad Cat for me  Damn, I miss that amp.
