Hey, guys! I got really into building a few years back but was never any good at diagnostics when something was wrong. I have three or for completed projects that need (what I hoping will be) some simple tweaks to get them up and running. Any diagnostic geniuses out there that would want to take on the challenge of getting these pedals running?

I have three pedals laying around that are boxed but don't rock. I HATE troubleshooting. Is there anyone here that just LOVES troubleshooting and feels like helping a brother out? Just a couple ODs and a boost.

My advice would be to make a buffer in a 1590A (good first 1590A build, I think), and leave the volume pedal un-modded. Passive volume pedals are really useful as expression pedals especially high-impedance ones.

This, but only because of the volume pedal itself. If it's the one with the string that moves the pot, I suggest not taking it apart, as it is a BEAR to get back together. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

The string is broken and the pot is scratchy so I'm going to do a complete over haul.

Is it possible a power jack tab and output jack tab are making contact or a wire shorting in there abouts?

Don't they both need to go to ground?

This is an old one I stuck aside because I didn't wanna do the problem solving.  Rocked it before I boxed it.  Bypass works, LED works, no volume when I turn up the gain.  I'm wondering if my ground job just blows?

I've searched the internet and haven't found a clear tut on reboxing a Boss pedal with a new switch.  Anyone know of a good link?

Any suggestions for the other diodes as a good contrast to this setup?

What can I do to the Greenbean to get it to sound pretty close to Madbeans old Neutrino board?

I thought that it would be as simple as running a wire from the tip, ring, or sleeve (which ever one I'm using for tap) of the existing jack to a new jack but that didn't work.

I built this as an AUX switch for my Eventide Space and now I'm thinking it would be cool to add another jack to use one switch as a tap tempo for BOTH my Space and Timefactor.  Any ideas on how I would do that?

in addition to being unfeasible, it's also one of the worst trade-offs you could do as the eventide probably has fairly heavy duty internal power supply that includes a lot of filtering on the analog section to prevent noise, making the PP2 fairly redundant as a low noise (and high cost) power supply.

my advice: buy a power bar and plug that into the daisy-chained outlet on the back. use the stock power supplies with that.

This is what I currently do.  It's VERY bulk and time consuming to pack and set up.  I think I'm going to try a Cioks DC10.
