OK...one more question...there's probably no way to fit a battery in the 1590A, right?  So just go with two mono jacks and no battery clip?

OK...thanks everyone for the words of wisdom.  Think I'm ready to get the parts ordered.  I'm sure I'll be checking back in when I get everything and can't figure out what goes where. 

Looking for R1 and R2.  Am I crazy or does Small Bear not have 10M metal film resistors?

The parts list specifies Xicon General or Hi-Temp radial electrolytic 25v caps.  Does this apply to all 3 caps, or only to C2 and C3? 

Isn't C1 an axial?  Also, from reading other threads, it looks like C1 should be a poly film cap?  Should it also be 25V?  100n = .1nf, right?  Trying to find most of the stuff on SmallBear (simpler than mouser).

Thanks everyone for the input.  John...I like your build, especially the big chrome knob.  Very cool.  Did you put some foam or something in the bottom cover to keep it isolated from the circuit board?   

I'm having a few questions about ordering the correct parts (C1 in particular).  Should I create a new thread for that?

Thanks Magic.  I'm really looking for a small footprint so I think I'll give it a shot.  Can always put it in a bigger box if I can't make it work.  I've seen some people have done it, but I'm pretty much a noob, so we'll see how much of a mess I can make of it.

Gonna have a go at the Slambox as my first build.  Am I taking on too much if I want to fit it in a 1590A enclosure?  Thanks!
