Love it! You should have covered the board in epoxy before posting your pics though, someone is going to copy it! :)

I'd agree with jimilee, Spray paint seems to take forever to bond and cure.

Open Discussion / Login issue

This is probly directed mostly to Brian.. I forgot my password and haven't been able to login for like 3 months now! Luckily tonight I was able to guess the password, Yay!  Anyway, I entered my email so that I could get my password reset like 18 times and never once received anything? not even in the spam folder.. I was just going to start a new account but couldn't even do that cause my email was already registered! dang it! I'm sure you are busier than heck but maybe you can look into this? I'm just glad to be back! Took the summer off to remodel my kitchen and am gearing up to start building some stuff this fall. Thanks!

Wait, Gibson completely missed the mark again? Hard to believe! I guess that would really suck if you paid 5 grand for that hog and didn't care for the tone from the overdrive.

I agree with hamsandwich! I have a few of these from back in the day I've dissected for parts and can't figure out why there are so many components in them. I feel like I could make 3 entire fuzz pedals just by using the components out of one DOD fuzz.

When you guys talk about using a hand drill you do mean a cordless battery powered drill, right?? I just picture some ancient rotary kind of manual hand drill, Lol. I personally have a small table top drill press I bought from menards for maybe $60, not sure of the brand. Works excellent! You definitely can buy a cheap drill press style vise for 10 or 15 bucks also. money well spent if you plan on making pedals, or pedal boards, or any such thing

In this case you could try the 200k pots and then prop the resistor on there and try it that way too, see if there is a difference. Assuming you have solder lug pots that wouldn't be too difficult.

kindly remember the ridiculous hype that offends so many is not of my making'
Exactly, even though he goes on to mention that he bought the worlds remaining stock of GE diodes that gave the klon it's signature sound that we mortals would never be able to reproduce? Lol, Ya..... Not of my making! Right

Sheet metal enclosures are pretty cool but they are MUCH more difficult to drill than aluminum. If you're going to do a lot you'd definately need a drill press and very high quality drill bits. I broke three or four decent drill bits on one sheet metal enclosure.
Indeed, I think most of you guys are spoiled though  :D Try drilling broken off stainless manifold studs out of an engine! I do that on a regular basis. Drilling aluminum stomp boxes is such a relief when I get home at night!

Here's the thread about the wooden enclosures.

Those are cool! My brother volunteered to 3d print me any kind of box I want but I haven't jumped on it yet, I initally figured It would be a pain in the butt trying to sheild one properly. If you have a small welder and some metal skill you can make your own  :D I just buy 18g steel sheets and make my own shape if I want something different.

This happens with no power to the board at all??? Do you have a pace maker? Or maybe a flux capacitor in your back pocket?

I think I got 2 CA3080s from Banzai about 2 years ago and 4 from ebay. The 4 from ebay worked and 1 of the 2 from Banzai didn't. I didn't bother sending it back though. So I guess you can get anything anywhere :)
Good to hear! I bought some off ebay awhile back but haven't tried them yet (I've been a little skeptical of them)
As Daleykd mentioned though the 13700 can be used the same, just found that out the other night. I have all kinds of them!

1. Tayda is about the easiest one stop shop for beggining. Vero,switchess,enclosures,etc...
2. Yup, I always open in paint and reverse the drill pattern but you can reverse either one.
3. Yes. Watch out for blue dots in the middle of some layouts (2 links in one hole) I have a roll of hookup wire from amp building that I use for links but you can also use the cut off ends of resistors n such to make links also.

Seems very very similar to the TC ditto looper, for half price. I have been wanting to grab one for awhile. Now I have two choices....
