General Questions / FV-1 Test Boards
January 16, 2017, 06:37:55 PM
Hey guys,

I am looking into getting into the FV-1 DSP. I am on a mission to develop a new stereo reverb and basically need to know where and how to get started..
Are there better and more simple options opposed to the FV-1? Looking for that " Neuneber" sound..

Also where can I buy the test boards that I keep seeing for the FV-1?

Any help would be great.

I am still trying to figure out how the can pump 12v/18v into that little thing lol. I know nothing about electrical engineering.. Mechanical is another topic.

Figures... A sand mold that size would not be that expensive.. 1-3k probably.

Hey guys,

I have been cramming my small footprint boost circuits into a 1590a enclosure and it is causing problems down the road.. I just happen to see that the EP boost pedals have an enclosure that is just like the 1590a but slightly taller.. Does anyone know where I can source this?

Thanks!

Hey:

You want 16mm 90 degree board mounted pots. (http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/pc-mount-right-angle-2/)

It doesn't matter how your SPDT is oriented, just stick it in there.

3pdt orientation does matter. Check out the Madbean standard wiring diagram, or google it. Your lugs should all be horizontally oriented, if it's a solder lug 3pdt.

This is the best forum I have ever used.. Honestly, I have never had so many straight forward answers. It seems like any other forum I have ever used, There is always some condescending asshole that just says rude shit and apparently has more time than (all of us) lol

THANKS GUYS!

really appreciate the help

OK... I noticed on the on/on switch portion of the PCB there is a square solder point, But I notice no positive or negative emblems on the switch itself.. So I am guessing either way works? Also, I am starting to use 3pdt PCB boards on all my builds as well to save a shit ton of time, Does it matter which way those go in as well?

Second question- My POT'S do not have long enough leads to reach the board directly, What are some professional looking methods to wire these up as well? are there POT'S out there that have long enough leads to reach the pcb? If so where can I purchase them.

Also, I purchased some pre wired bezel LED'S from "bitcheslovemyswitches.com" and they already have resistors built in.. The issue being, The 3pdt pcb has a slot for an LED resistor and I am guessing that it wont complete the circuit unless I bridge something there?

Thanks for your time!

It says in the overview on the PDF to use 3MM Defused LED'S Any suggestions of good substitutes? Also, A good place to get the 3mm LED's ? Tayda takes wayyy to long.
I suppose this is a two part question. The other half being, What kind of switches and where to purchase for the on/on AS/SYM MOD switch as well as the "FAT" switch.

Thanks for your time!
