Hey all,

May be a stupid question, but I'm trying to get my parts together to have a go at building the lowrider (2015), and I can't find 2N5457s anywhere, or at least nowhere that will ship to Australia. Apparently they're no longer made.

So I need something else I can put in here - I've seen others talking about 2sk30s but I wanted to check if this is the best option for the 2015 pcb and if there's anything I should know before giving it a go?

Hi there,
As outlined in the subject, I've built the retrograde (but not wired it up in its enclosure yet - I'm just at the testing stage), and everything seems to be working except that fuzz is on max! And rotating the fuzz pot does nothing to the sound. I've replaced the fuzz pot AND transistors Q1 and Q3, incase it was those - a friend said it might be one of those causing the problem. But still no luck! I should say the volume and octave both seem to work, it's just that the fuzz sounds like it's at maximum all the time.

Has this happened to anyone else?
PS. I should add that the PCB is the August 2012 version (according to the pdf) if that helps?
