Build Reports / Parasit Studio Into The Unknown
May 14, 2016, 09:55:26 PM
Have you ever wondered how it would sound if c3po would try to rape r2d2?  ;D Yes! this beatuful box with huge amount of knobs and switches can sound that way! Also it`s a great futuristic sounding lead-synthesizer. Deviсe is hard to manage, nevertheless the results you get are unaccustomed, but musical!

Build Reports / Parasit Studio The Arcadiator
March 17, 2016, 06:28:03 PM
Hi! Just finished The Arcadiator (check out fancy wires of different colors and funny sticker with "space invaders"). Aaaaaaaand... found that Fredrik upgraded the circuit and released version 2.0  :'(
About the sound.. It is very specific. For all those lovers of Atari, ZX Spectrum and Commodore sounds. I think the best (and more proper) way is to use this box with a synth.

Wow! I see an amazing russian reverb-pedal in your pedalboard! Are you a member of GAS-club in vkontakte social network?  ;)

great build! and a fantastic pedal.
haha I never thought of it as a pedal to make Prodigy sounds with, but now that you mention it it's spot on!
I`m not sure if Liam used Ugly Face or some similar device, but listen to the song "nasty" from latest album. That acid sounds could be replicated pretty close with this great little box! I`ll try to use it with my monophonic synth next evening... Could be even more acid and electronic!

Wow! Just wow! This is my favourite box with sounds now! Amazing futuristic fuzz. Wanna make some Prodigy stuff? Buld it!

Just wondering.. It`s an amazing phaser with huge sonic possibilities and lots of control knobs and switches. As you look inside, it doesn`t looks too complicated. So why noone did not try to clone it? I surfed the internet and found a lonely hero from South Korea, who crafted a clone for about three years ago with an unusual rotary swith instead of standard alpha 3p4t. Here is the link. What do you think about it?  :o

Thank you, guys! By the way, I changed the sticker yesterday. Now it looks more classic. And yeah! I think chorus MUST be BLUE!

Please can I ask how noisey, if at all, you find the clone theory. I love my Celeste build but I'm about to start doing some debugging as it has quite a loud hiss and I get some ticking bleeding through when bypassed.
Hello! Thank you for the praise! No ticking noticed at all! That`s a circuit of a vintage effect and no wonder that it has some subtle hiss. But for me that noise is almost imperceptible. Read the build documentation carefully - probably it could help you with the ticking problem! Good luck! It`s an extraordinary chorus!  ;)

Few days ago finished two Lectric FX builds. The most acid chorus/vibrato - The Clone Theory (Celeste chorus) and one of the most advanced flangers in the analog world - A/DA Flanger (Flintlock Flanger). Everything started to work just after the boxing without any problems. Tuning ADA Flanger was a challenge, because I don`t own a frequency-meter. So I went with a pedal and a power brick to the shop of electronic components and other stuff and mocked the shop assistant for about 1,5 hours, using (trying?) a showcase professional expencive multimeter. ::)  Now pedal flanges completely as original device! Thanks Keefe for amazing PCBs - that was a great experience!

Sorry for by bad english! Greetings from snowy Moscow!

Luke51411, yeah! the hiss just as described at that post. And also the same behavior in the FX-loop - less noise then before the amp. I think it is just a peculiarity of the circuit and I`m going to left it as is. After all, the noise is not so annoying and barely noticeable in the mix.  :)
cooder, very close! But no! I`m a pathologist (autopsist).  ;D No kidding!
All other, thank you guys! Actually this is my second relatively serious build!

Yes! I think this is the best and probably the only way to place the jack-sockets in the 125b enclosure. There are even 1-2 mms left to the 3pdt-switch. Not my idea. Saw it in someone`s same project in the internet.

Build Reports / Honeydripper (Colorsound Dipthonizer)

Just finished my build of this crazy device! The pedal is a bit noisy (approximately the same as catalinbread pareidolia for example), but sounds amazing and very unusual. Great chance to try the effect, you could never buy. Thank you, Brian!!!  :)
