General Questions / volume boost schematic
January 23, 2015, 03:24:32 AM
I am in need of a "amp" or "booster" of some sort, and I'm not sure of what schematic I am looking for... Here is what it's for...

I have a home theatre system that I am adding "butt Kicker" or "tactical transducer" to, and I need to add volume to an audio signal in order to boost the volume on the speaker by probably 30ish or so Db. Any thoughts or schematics that could work for this would be great! I would like to use a pot, for adjusting, a switch, and an LED.

General Questions / Pedal Schematic Questions...
January 21, 2015, 01:30:55 AM
Hey guys, so I'm working on my next project and I have a few questions and want to make sure I am heading in the right direction with this pedal before I start purchasing components. Here is the Schematic and the listing of things I am planning on buying. I am new to this, so feel free to critique or comment on anything I may be doing wrong... lol

First question is, What is the IC1A  (LM833N) and the IC1B  (LM833N) and what do the numbers 1,2,3 and 5,6,7 mean. and where is the 4? lol What am I missing on this part????

ALL help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

well, to start. Happy thanksgiving! secondly, I have started building a kit from mammoth named the "DSOTM FUZZ"  I soldered in all the components according to the circuit board, and connected the circuit board to the pedal as the instructions say. however, when I plug it in to my amp, the led won't light up when the switch is turned on, nor will the pedal work. It only has a low-frequency beep... it also makes the light on my power supply, go from a steady light to a flashing light mimicking the low frequency beep. As far as I can see nothing is linked together with the solder. (This is my first project, and I'm not great at using solder... lol)

I have no idea what is wrong with it. If this is like any problems that you guys have dealt with, I would love some advice concerning my problems. Or if there any of those "typical rookie mistakes" that you would like to point out to me, I am open to ALL who feel they can help!!!!!!! PLZ!!! lol
