I dont have the full answer unfortunately, but I do have this from an earlier post for effects order - not my work I have to add and untested, but I would have though going from this set up and adding a master bypass as per the standard MBP would be quite straightforward

I Just finished the zero point micro and it is lush

a great analogue emulation and not digital sounding. Good delay times though I am usually 1/4 note or less in my style. The Filter is usefully very powerful, from unfiltered to very dark (my favourite), on the brightest setting there is a touch of degredation noise to the distant repeats as associated with this chip but I really like that and it is part of this type of delay; it is a signature and weldone rather than detrimental. It will self oscillate if you push it and the delay time alters the pitch in a very nice tape way.

The weakness is the Modulation is not as extreme on extreme settings as I would like, however it is definately there and sweet; just always subtle - maybe there is a mod to mod the mod?

I took my time over the build as there is a high parts count and the board is quite tight, but it lit up first time and Ive loved it ever since. Definately give it a go if you like analogue warm delays in the vein of Electroharmonix, but it is definately not a clear reapeating Boss DD3 if that your thang.

General Questions / Re: Stage Fright Power Supply Noise

Have you got the stagefright in series signal chain into the amp front end, or is it parallel in an effects loop?

General Questions / Yellow Shark Redux
January 25, 2015, 05:20:26 PM
Hi All

I have just completed a second build of a yellow shark board from Habberdasher ( I messed up the first lifting a trace, it worked but obsession is obsession), and I can see there are one or two topics with the same issue from a while ago so Im ressurecting here hopefully in time for a good answer:

Where is the overdrive?

If I use the shark on its own there is little drive (like clean boost), but when I push the front end input with a compressor or autowah it overdrives very nicely indeed.

As a fan of OD I would love too get the same level of OD without having to push the input level - any ideas?

Now Im guessing here but is it a case of reducing the resistances in the input circuit, or is there something around the opamp gain stage?

In the mean time I will try red LEDs instead of Green...but hopefully someone can shed light on this improvement

hopefully

thanks, Ubertech

I need to delete this thread - I am clearly a nincompoop! I have plenty of gain - lets put it down to rushing the rebuild.

If the moderator can delete it, please do so...I will endevour to check my work more carefully before posting

Hi

I just fired up my zero point mini (completed today) - both switches work. I soldered lug 1 and 2 to the board, and it really shouldnt matter which way round - but you could look at the scheme

The Mod switch modulates the delay time by the sounds of it, giving a soft warble to a fast vibrato , but the depth needs to be up to hear it, and it is not quite in your face when full on, but not subtle either.

The ring switch is most effective  with high feedback and tone wound to treble side. Switch One way it starts to self oscillate, switch the other and it is undercontrol - not sure which is ring 'on', but I would guess the oscilate side. At more controlled levels the switch also adds/takes away a rich middle that is very pleasant and fat

Love this pedal - and it fired up first go for me.

Simple really when you put it like that :)

Thanks

    Hi

regarding pot types for the Zero Point Mini. I am going to use a larger format box so I am not limited as regards size for the pots  - my question is should they be log or linear? I have scoured the docs but I must have missed it

    the reason for large format:
tap tempo mod, hopefully the Jmk taptation http://jmkpcbs.com/product/the-taptation/ and chip http://diystompboxes.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=20&products_id=65

and somewhere along the line an effects loop for the delay circuit - Ive seen a few memory boy ones kicking about in the chat

do you have any thoughts about these pots and mods?
