Just ordered my Moodring board and I'm really looking forward to this. Thanks for the reports here. They will be very handy. One note about the video, I'm running Safari on macOS 10.12.3 and the video link does not show up in the thread. Had to get out my devel tools and dig through the code to find the video.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was using an LED calculator but it makes sense that it was designed to give maximum brightness.

I just got the Road Rage PCB and got it up and running. I'm using it to provide 18v to a clean boost pedal I came up with. The pedal includes 2 LED's to indicate boost and mute. I originally had them wired with 330R 1/4W resistors when I was working with 9V, but I disconnected them when experimenting with 18V. I forgot to get the needed resistors for the LED's. I figure they should be about 820R and 1W, which I don't currently have.

That was the story, here's the question. I'm wondering if placing the LED's BEFORE the Road Rage. I am using 3PDT switches so the LED's are not messing with the audio (so to speak). Would that work? Is it a bad idea? Can I just hook the LED's into the source 9V or will they need to be isolated somehow?

If you have any input, I would appreciate it. Let me know if I was unclear about something.
