Lots of good suggestions. For food, I love Ferris' Oyster Bar - their burgers and fries are thee best. Rebar is great if you enjoy veggies. Phillips or Driftwood breweries for beer (Driftwoods' Fat Tug IPA may be my favourite beer of all time).

One of my fav things to do there is drive from Cadboro bay all along the water to downtown - doesn't take long, and it's a beautiful drive.

General Questions / Re: Junction box that sums to mono?
February 03, 2017, 03:14:11 AM
Have you tested summing it to mono? I am always hesitant to sum stereo effects to mono without testing - can create unexpected comb filtering/cancellation depending on the device and how it creates the stereo image. May be totally fine, but also may be better to just take the mono output when running mono.

Awesome!! May try some (or all!) of these mods on my 2nd dirt baby build (the first one went straight onto my gigging board and hasn't left since).

Nice! What process do you use for the stamps - for example, common stamp pad ink and clear coat over top?

Re order for trem and verb combo, I would have put an order flipper but there was room. For fixed order, I prefer reverb first since that is how it was if you plugged a Fender Tube Reverb into an amp with trem, and also it allows (if desired) super choppy/deep trem even with verb on. If I want the reverb to not completely cut out with the trem, I either set the trem less deep or use 'harmonic trem' mode.

What CJ said....

Highly recommend a Cardinal tremolo with reverb. Very sweet combo.

I just finished rub-a-dub deluxe into cardinal trem - sounds killer, and went straight onto my gigging board (it's in the loop, after delay and before my lead boost). It was a tight fit into a 1590bb with optical switching and unique jack placement, but with a bit of grinding inside the enclosure I got everything to fit. :-)

My 5 yo has painted or otherwise decorated a few enclosures. Sometimes she'll pull resistors for me. Will be great when she can start populating boards for me!

I picked up a cheap (ish) Roland electronic kit in Craigslist. For me it works way better than either a keyboard or pads, with way less editing time required to make it sound great.

I'm also looking. Seems like the modular one would be perfect. Been a few years since Thomas posted he received the beta boards. Hmm. Where would one find any info regarding progress if any?

I built the BYOC and use it on one of my gigging boards. Works as advertised. The final assembly with the LEDs was a bit 'ship in a bottle' - it's a very tight fit - but otherwise the build was straightforward, and it functions great.

I haven't built the Epic looper, mainly because I'm waiting for the new TH Custom modular looper project, though not sure when it will be ready.

I'd love to see a resonant filter with lfo control similar to the twins peak trem and liquid mercury phaser, but with envelope control too (hint hint drolo :-) ....)
