Were these ever done?  I was going to re-house the Distortion 3 and have no template and the original enclosure looks like it.

I found some info

I found the doc but there's nothing about the trimmers or freqs.

I finally got round to building the VFE Dragon I bought several years ago.  I can't seem to find a copy of the build doc on the site.  Does anyone have any info on the trimmers inside and the frequency sweeps  of the to filters? 

The problem were the MN3005's.  They both dropped the voltage,  I has 2 spares and they fixed the voltage issue.  I started the calibration the first check on pin7 of IC3 failed.  No sound just a hiss.  Nor did pin7 of IC2  have any sound.  I'll just have to trace the circuit to see where the sound dies.  The TL062 and 072 both have sound.

Thanks for the quick reply.  The voltages coming out of the regulator are 12.87, 0 , 10.78.

I'm getting low voltage issues at most points.  The leds blink fine.  With the input of a signal generator I can hear some affect on the signal.

For example:

On pin 2 of the LT1054 charge pump it reads 2.78 when it's supposed to get 5.  Pin 8 shows 8.28 when the expected value is 9.26.

On both MN3005s  all pine are reading 50-60% of expected values.  Same with the TL072.

Is this simply a wrong resisted early in the power circuit or something more complicated?

Just bought (for me) a new book "Pedal Crush" (c 2019).  Over 360 pages of all the various types of guitar effects, their history, how they work and interviews with the inventors and users.  Hundreds of photos of various pedals and brief descriptions.  A highly recommended book.  It's price though, $80+ delivered.  You can't yet get it though Amazon.  O bought it from, I think, the publisher.  Sweetwater has it as well.

Okay, great! Did you have a problem that you were able to solve (you said previously you had no sound)?

While checking voltage I pulled IC1 and then forgot about it.  So wiring it to the breadboard didn't work.

That's a bit of fail on my part. I don't know why I don't have the pin assignments in the library part for that but I will correct that for future schematics. Anyway, pins 1 and 8 are connected through the 33pF cap. I just cross-referenced the voltage readings of the Dragonbeard, Slow Loris (Rat) and the VFE AlphaDog (Rat) and they are consistent with the voltages reported in the Dragonbeard. But I apparently I got different readings on the Runt (the 1590A version of the Rat).

So, it's more likely the pin readings are not that important or possibly I misread them on the Runt. Are you having any problems with your build otherwise?

Hey, finished it and it sounds great. Quite a nice ranges of sounds.

Just finished putting it together.  No sound yet but I still need to check some other things first.
