For my money, in this application, it is going to be hard to beat a PAM8610. 12v dc, 15W/channel
Check e-bay or Ali-express and you will find pre-assembled boards for less than $1.50 US, or complete with pot etc for less than $5.
If you want to use 5v from your pc, check the PAM8403, 3W/channel, but this probably won't power those speakers as well as the 8610.

Dano hinted that sometimes life can get in the way.  Hopefully he has gotten beyond that and realizes what Beavis Audio has meant to countless budding musicians and electronic gurus.  I know what his site meant to me in an otherwise not so good period of mine.
