I got an original pork barrel I built a while ago and never got around to trouble shooting.

The issue is it has no effect, there's a minor change in the tone when its on but the pots do nothing and there is no modulation.  My IC voltages are all over the place. the spreads are oscillating between those ranges.  I can check voltages at transistors but I'm assuming this is plenty to start.

Also the BBD is getting very hot almost immediately after applying power

I've got a LM7805 sitting here will it work as a fine sub for a LM78L05?

General Questions / Kingslayer 2k14 Build sheet
January 28, 2016, 07:40:06 PM
I've got an old kingslayer 2014 board here and cannot find the build sheet for it only the 2015 one which they at least differ in layout.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah I'm ordering some, I figured that was the proper route but wanted to ask prior.  Makes sense on the Iso vs non.  I'm getting impatient on the restocks and sick of batteries, and if you've ever used the normal channel cranked on a ac30 its unacceptable with a treble boost.  Thanks guys.

So I've got a few extra cords from my DC brick and a range master that I love hitting my ac30 with.  I hate batteries though, like despise them, they work perfect until I need the thing, then I never think about having spares because I'm that guy so I just rage instead.  But anyways I'm wondering if one end were to be cut off and then wired to either a male 9v snap or just hard wired to the board properly(backwards) would that work?

D4 is entirely empty, I'm waiting on a new 3101 first to rule that out or not.  Seams not only like the easiest place to start, but likely as I'm not to fond of the source I got it from the first time.  Small bears 3101 should be arriving monday or tuesday.  I'll chime back then.

I've completed my second Pork Barrel as I used the cheap BBD's last time and always wondered how could it get better sounding then this?  So I build this one with the 3007/3101 and I just tested it and I've got bypass then clicked on LED lights up and sounds just like bypass.  Adjusting the trim pot changes nothing.  I did substitute 2n4401's for all the transistors as I'm out of 5088's but this wouldn't cause that issue would it?  And D4 is just left entirely alone and not jumpered right?  I'm going to begin checking voltages and such now just thought I'd get a head start on the transistor and diode question.

OK so I've got the switch changed out and wired now I have bypass sound just fine, but I have no sound when I turn the board on, I can hear hissing sound and as I turn the pots it changes this is the first project with soldered in pots but my question is where should I look is this normal for the pots to 'work' but no guitar signal?  My ic reads 9v on 1 leg, 4.5 on all the others but 1 is 0, I believe that's normal and my transistors have voltage at all legs as well.  I also resoldered every joint on the board, let me know of there is anything I can do to help you guys help me!

I wired a green bean board the other day and when I plug it in its no signal on one side of the switch and a violent oscillation on the other.  I used a mammoth electronic 3pdt board and am wondering if anyone is familiar with them.  I know the mad bean wiring is a bit different then I've ever done and this is also a first time using the 3pdt board and I'm thinking it may be that board.  Any help or guidance would be appreciated this is my first board from here and was really looking forward to firing it up!
