General Questions / Re: Vero newboe problem
November 17, 2014, 09:52:34 PM
Hi again

I got the circuit working on my testrig. I am ashamed to say that i was my testrig that was faulty.

But now i am confused about the wiring when i put it in the box.
Input to input
Output to output
Board gnd to dc jack ground
Board 9v to dc jack
Board led to led + and led - to where?

I dont have a footswitch.

I am sorry for my level of incompetence :-)

I'm gonna knife em good! :-)
I have built Jakobs basic testrig with the probe, but i haven't had any luck using it.

Its my first verobuild, but i am hoping to make it work. The stray wire is just a stray wire im cutting off right now :-)

I have knifed the gaps :-)

Suspected problems:
Oxidation?
I have used a TL072IP. Musikding was out of TL072 but they had the same description.

General Questions / Vero newboe problem
October 23, 2014, 07:45:43 AM
Hi guys

I have some newbie questions about building on vero.

It is my maiden voyage and i thought i would start of on easy level and build a JHS little Black buffer. I have build i few handfuls of succesfull kits, so i am not completely new to soldering and pedal building.

I build the circuit from tagboard, but when i plug it in my testrig all i hear is a loud synth-like tone on the first one which kind of drains out when i touch the back of the vero, and nothing on the second circuit.

I checked the layout and it matches the tagboard one.

Any ideas what i am doing wrong? Anything i do when building kits on pcb that cant be done on vero. I am afraid that i am missing something obvious.

Thanks in advance and please bear with me. Looking forward to posting build reports when it works

Great work. Inside and out! How is your painting process? How do you clean up the letters?

Thanks guys!
I have looked into building a loop with a switch. That would be the easiest choice by far, but that would require the signal from my microphone to be a mix of regular jacks and xlr inputs.
And i can't quite figure out if that is a bad thing when i am going to use the preamp in a live situation. Wouldn't want to upset any soundguy or have unwanted noise :-)

Hi guys

I have and use a Behringer Mic100 preamp. I use it to overdrive my live vocals, and it works great.

I know...behringer....but it works, and i am actually thinking of rehousing it :-)

But it is missing a bypass switch for when i want to turn it on and off between songs. Do you guy know how to add a footswitch to the preamp?

I googled but i only found a way to add a on off switch directly the pcb and that won't work because i am looking to bypass it so the signal still runs through to my
Mic.

Hope you guys can help.
Kind regards
/Andreas

General Questions / Daughterboard wiring
May 24, 2014, 05:35:21 PM
Hi guys.

I bought this for my projects: http://shop.pedalparts.co.uk/3PDT_daughterboard/p847124_9338065.aspx

I am a bit confused about where to put the CLR? Do i put it on the daughterboard and add a jumper on the PCB? Or put it in its original place and put a jumper on the daughterboard?

Hope you can help with this newbie question :-)

Open Discussion / Replace DC jack
May 05, 2014, 09:39:37 AM
Hi guys.

Kind of a silly question

I found a Behringer MIC100 at a yardsale, but the PSU is missing, and my regular plugs for my pedals dont fit.

Can i just change the jack to one of the regular pedal ones? 2,1 mm?

The power is the same.

Hope you can help me, the replacement Behringer PSU costs roughly the same as a new unit.

Kind regards
/Andreas

Please share your entire process. Always on the lookout for the perfect transfer :-)
Hey man! i can share with you, no problem.

Thank you very much. Very helpful. I use almost the same method but there are always spot where the toner doesn't stick. Maybe i keep my iton too hot?

Do you prep with steel wool or light sanding before transfering?
