OshPark is top of the line, they only offer one type of board, but it is a very high end board.

10 boards at Iteed can be about the same price as 3 boards at oshpark.

Was thinking of trying these one day... (I have no experience with them)

I picked up a Epi-LP second hand that I think has these in it. I like them, they definitely sound better than a stock Epi, and it sure sounds how a vintage LP w/ PAF's should sound - with not much high end. That said, I don't think they're in the same league as the other PU's in this thread, and probably not what the OP is interested in. But for someone looking for to upgrade an Epi, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I've been a C programmer for 15 years, and I can tell you - you will hit a ceiling doing this too!!!

If you're already into web content and delivery, I suggest you go high level and learn more about what you already use. Like php and ruby, or whatever is the latest a greatest flavor - it's way more marketable. Once you're a cool kid with you php or whatever, it's easy to stay cool, because you just keep learning the new stuff - like everyone else in your field. C is so old and cumbersome and tied to hardware you almost only use it in embedded software - think arduino. It's not used to run the Cloud or serve massive web sites. And it's pretty hard to learn - it just has a ton of gotchas, compared to Java or newer stuff. See what they use where you work, and then see what's in demand for your area via Monster. Then choose a language. And if you must go nuts and bolts, skip C and go straight to Java - at least then you can make a cool Android App off the bat. Spend a month with a $50 beginner book on said language and see if you like programming before you take the jump. Also, If I could do it again, I would become a garbage man - paid weekends and a pension!

If it isn't a bad PS, or damage from an incorrect PS, then it's either a problem with the wiring or a component failure. I assume you work is good, so perhaps it is a component failure - likely a cap or IC.

Request some gut shots to verify wiring - and that he hasn't tried to screw with the pedal.

I'd send him 2 new IC's and see if he can fix it himself.

Does the volume and presence knob work?

That's it. I'm so done with Gibson, this is totally unfair  . I'm not buying any more of their guitars... well unless I find a nice deal on a 175... but after that, I'M DONE.

That clicking sounds is a very bad sound. Due to the short described above, it is the re-settable protection on your PS tripping over and over.

Where did you source the trannys?

I like their straps, but after playing for a while I start to feel sweaty where the strap sits on me. But the quality and looks more than make up for it. I'll need to try a seatbelt strap, maybe that'll breath better.

She's beautiful. Something from the early to mid 60's would almost be practical because the car's were sort of small then. The cars got enormous and wide in the late 60's to 70's and would probably take up both lanes in town.
