Build Reports / Re: First post First build!
September 01, 2018, 09:26:20 PM
1590a for a first build?!? That is insane, I want to pat you on the back and tell you it gets easier from here on out. Easier and more expensive, and before you know you have almost 100 pedals and enjoy the smell of solder. But still hate drilling, no one likes drilling.

Just realized my phone somehow has a different account name than my computer. Any the above information still applies, lol.

Thank you both very much, I am not a good painter just patient. I feel like this is the best one i have done out of all of them and it took me about two hours. The duo phase I did last week two me about 2 hours to build and four hours to paint, my son wanted Turbo the snail and it was not easy.

Build Reports / 1776 Effects Multiplex with Mod board
August 28, 2018, 09:34:32 PM
Here is a fairly stock Multiplex, I added the mod board and a switch to select which heads the modulation goes to. I have the detune rate set really low and have decided that it needs to be changed to an oscillation switch to better suit my needs. I will be doing a demo for this in the future but am way too excited with how this painting turned out to not post it right away. I have determined that it takes me way longer to paint these things then build them. Here it is, the best villain in all of history, Lord Vader.

Audio/Video Demos / MBP 1590G Clean and ROCK Demo
August 20, 2018, 09:34:54 PM
Here is two tracks showcasing the incredible 1590G pedals, I wanted to show the subtly of the effects with a clean demo and then how great they are for rock.

This track was recorded with a strat into a Mesa TA-30 on the clean channel into a Two Notes Torpedo Live with a Celestion Blue IR. The signal path was 4:1 Compressor into the Moar into the amp with the Mimik in the effects loop. There is three guitars on here, the main rhythm which is using just compression and a little delay, and then the first solo where i turn up the delay and compression, once the second lead guitar part comes in i stomp on the moar.

This track was recorded using a Gibson SG with Lindy Fralin 90s into the Mesa TA-30 on channel two into the Two Notes with a 4x12 cab loaded. On the right side is the moar on the left is the stank and for the solo I ran the compressor into the moar into the mimik into the front of the amp. Also there is a little delay on the left side during some of the bridge area.

As for how this was made I wrote the drums and then just layer on top, only plugins are ezdrummer and mix buss compression, here it is warts and all sort of thing.

I am thinking about putting out the tracks with out my shitty lead playing so others can riff on them if anyone is interested.

From Left to right Mimik, Stank, Moar, 4:1

Here is my first post of what I hope to be many more going forward, I have way too many diy pedals and I thought it would be great to start demoing them one by one. First up is my most recent build, this is a ProfessorPoopyPedalProjectsPanorama.com Tommy. It is a great over drive pedal and I loved using it with its great eq abilities.

For the demo I start off playing a "D" chord and you will hear two clicks, one is me turning on the D3lay that is in the effects loop of the Mesa RA-100 and the next is the Tommy. My pedal board was setting next to the microphone and picked up both clicks.

Every guitar track is my Warmoth VIP with two humbuckers into a Mesa RA-100 on 50 watt mode recorded with a Sennheiser e906. I did not move the mic once, i never actually left my chair just adjusted the Tommy.

For the strummed rhythm i used middle position on the guitar with the Tommy in the middle position no gain and just dialed out a bunch of low mids to get that jangly clean sound. The solo was the bridge pickup with the Tommy in the bottom position using the gain at about 11 o'clock, guitar 3 was bridge again with the Tommy in the up position running pretty saturated.

Let me know what you think, also the mix isn't 100% perfect I am still working out the kinks with the Faderport and reaper.
