Sounds good.  I think maybe PRO 3PDT switches too.

I compared one of his 3pdts to the mammoth green and I think his feels as smooth. If it had a smoother top with a more rounded shoulder I would use his stomps in production pedals.

I got an email back from him saying the same thing.  He hasn't gotten any other grade of switch because his are plenty good.  He also said the deep 1590BB was a good idea and he'll look into getting them.

So, I am planning on picking up a Pastyface and a 3PRR in next month's sale to help use up some of my PNP stash. Just a few questions on the different versions:

Wait a minute.  What?  Sale?

And thanks for asking this.  I was looking at the Pasty Face doc and wondering the same thing.

i do want something that sounds good.

Build complexity is not an issue.  I'd even say give me something challenging.

In that case, Multiplex - in a 1590a.

Seriously, Multiplex is great, the Rebote or Sea Urchin are nice but simple.  And then there's the Hamlet+.  Haven't built one yet but it's knocking at my door and I'm sure I'll let it in.

The Mexican Dog is great!  Knobs matched to the flag colors and everything.  That's my kind of design.

OMG I just got to the Alanis Morissette/Full House theme bit.  Had to laugh at that juxtaposition.

Does it matter that I covered top and sides or would it still pull off easily without wrecking my delicious graphics?

The furr-i-plex?  Maybe I'll try something lint-free and cross my fingers.

Good thing you didn't assume the letter after the apostrophe was a "d", instead of an "s".  I have no idea what "Vtyowj Cpxpxmpc: Te'd Ufde L Qcplvtyr Apolw" means!

Now that you mention it, I do remember that thicker epoxy cures faster.  Contamination... maybe.  Or maybe the kids were playing with it with sticky fingers!  I suppose it's safe to use some sort of household cleaner to see if it cleans up.  Is there anything that's not safe to use on it??

Build Reports / The Crimson Clover (MB Double Flush)
April 30, 2014, 12:54:15 AM
I made this pedal called the Crimson Clover.  Guess what it does!  Go on, guess.  Yes, it's a tremolo built on the MB Double Flush PCB and named after the only song I know to use ample tremolo on the guitar AND the vocals.  It's water slide and Enviro all over.  The "crimson" clover on the label came out less red and more purple than I expected so I'm not sure what knobs to use on it.  I'll probably just go with the red ones.

This post was kind of an afterthought while I was posting the Multiplex so I didn't take a gut shot but trust me, the guts are beautiful.

I did two enclosures, top and sides, and there's only one spot that's sticky.  Everything else is fine so I don't think it was the mix.  I may have put it on too thick in that spot.  ??  I did that with oil/varnish on a Hoosier cabinet I built once.  It never cured so it's still sticky.  Have you guys ever had an issue with laying ET on too thick?

If there's no quick easy cure (and I didn't really expect a simple answer to fix it) I'll probably be content just to let it be.  It's not gooey, it's just a little tacky and it's right between all the knobs so it's not the end of the world.

General Questions / Sticky Envirotex Cure?
April 29, 2014, 10:51:52 PM
There is a spot in the middle of my Multiplex where the Envirotex feels sticky.  I think it's the finish itself and not something on it.  Anyone know how to fix that?  Wet sanding with super fine paper maybe?  Or will it just never cure completely?
