I am a Senior Supply Chain Technologist ( although I come from an IT background ) for a 2 billion $ Tire Retail company.  Mostly I do a LOT of data analysis in Excel.

Other than being a computer geek I play golf, guitar, and enjoy tinkering around with amps and pedal builds. I have zero training or experience in electronics and just feel lucky that I have not electrocuted myself yet.  ;D

So I guess my answer would be no I did not "leave off the LED clipping option" , since I soldered the two LEDs on the PCB, which light up pretty nicely when selected with the clip switch selector.

There are 2 3mm LEDs on the pcb (D1 and D2) to provide the LED clipping.   Would these be the ones you are referring to ?

So did you leave off the LED clipping option?

Not sure what you mean ?  I hooked up the switch the enables LED, Diode, or none clipping. I connected the wires from the bottom of the board.

Is there another mod ?

I've built the General Guitar Gadget and GuitarPCB versions. Of the three I like this one the best.  I think the tone is a little less dark and the clipping options provide more versatility.  I am still new at this so I do not have the experience of many here,  but so far this is my favorite.

Thank for the kind words.  Not sure where the green cap came from,  I think it came in a grab bag from Caps n' Such.  The yellow 3n3, knobs, switch and switch cap came from https://www.mammothelectronics.com/

Can a burr brown OPA2134A be used in this circuit ?   Anyone ever try one ?

Beautiful build! What do you usE software wise?

I use Photoshop Elements 9.  I've only been at it a few months and it is still a struggle at times, but I love the results.

I never get tired of building Rat clones and the Slow Loris is one of the best sounding yet.  I tried both an LM308N and a OP07.  The OP07 sounded better to me so I left it in, go figure
