Thanks guys, by any chance would anyone have any idea on how to mod the rate so it's slower like in the newer nano reissues?

to be fair watching OPs video its clear you need the blend below 9 oclock to really bring the reverb back from splashiness
So I think mine is working as expected, FTW

Yeah its super splashy and I have the smaller tank also. For me i keep the level around 12 or 1 oclock and then every other control almost off. I will eventually look into mods to lessen the verb when I have more time.
Hrm. Mine is super splashy and drippy when cranked (I play surf so that's a plus), but I can can dial it all the way out, and get a subtle built-in type reverb below noon.
I used the long tank.

HI
I built one of these, barely hear any real change in the rotation of the DWELL control.
Can you comment on how you find it?

I mean it sounds good but its a bit of a one trick pony in that respect.

cheers
Something may be wrong with yours. Mine has full range controls and is just as versatile a fender outboard unit.

great stuff. I'm looking forward to the HT2 and my lectic-fx zirconia (diamond comp) has never left my setup, so I'll recommend that one too.

minor thing: I'd suggest a DPDT footwswitch for the tails switch in the HT2, so much better imo than a 3pdt

Certainly a DPDT would be fine. Lately I've been using these which actuate more like a DPDT, but they haven't been in stock for a bit: https://lovemyswitches.com/pro-3pdt-latched-foot-switch-solder-lugs-feather-soft-click/
Check out the company that bought mammoth, their stuff is reasonably priced and so is the shipping. I've lots many things from them.

Stompboxparts

Ross there is awesome to deal with!  I get a lot of my stuff there now, it really helps that its 5 minutes from the office, I just pop in there and pick up what I need  ;D
Maaaan, I wish I had something close to me. I can't get anything right quick since radio shack left town.

I moved next door to an Ax-Man Surplus last year and it has been the absolute BEST. I'm in there almost every day digging through bulk parts bins.

Or try troubleshooting the squeal? It shouldn't be doing that in the first place.

Someone suggested you change it, but didn't say why? You can always socket and see what it does.

Here, read this:

The problem is that the internal frequency of the LT1054 is too high and therefore interfering with the BBD clock frequency.
Don't throw away your LT1054s, they are still good and can be used with other projects!
The charge pump frequency needs to be lowered for the Flintlock.
Cool, thank you for this. I tried to build a couple of Flintlocks that I ended up scrapping because of this. I might try another because I'd really like one of these.

All of THIS^^^^so much. I quit doing custom work because of "him" too. 20 emails a day (or night!) with changeups, wishlists, and gear run-downs. I ghosted a custom seeker recently that insisted I "whip him up" an analog echo with "10 or so BBD" for 2+ seconds of delay, on his budget of $100.

My favorite phase shifter to build and use is the Mutron II. It has a wateriness to it that I don't hear anywhere else.

I like to buy resistors, caps, pots, IC sockets from Tayda, maybe some other stuff too.

I'll also add that their shipping is, to New Zealand, insanely fast and speedy. American and British shipping is slower.
They are faster and far cheaper shipping than any other supplier to me in Minnesota. 5-7 days using the cheapest option (usually about $1.25). I haven't noticed any pandemic lag either.

here are the pics

The top optocoupler appears to be backwards based on the NSL imprint on the casing (its facing opposite the one below it).
The NSL imprint can go either way and doesn't seem to be related to the LED orientation inside the part. Go by the painted dot. I have a batch of these from small bear and the imprints are random.

How are you liking the mini mu? I haven't seen many build reports on that one and I have one in the works.

General Questions / Re: Bi-Phase Options
June 08, 2020, 03:29:29 PM
The Lola is great sounding, and behaves like the Bi-phase should. The Pedalpcb duo phase is just two "neutron" phasers stuck together with an inversion/sync thingy between them. It is a nice project, but not exactly a bi-phase. The Ldr's on those example pictures are all wonky and unshielded, makes me wonder if the builder understands what is going on there.
