Open Discussion / Re: A/B Box with kill switch Help

That's why I was curious,it would make things easier and cheaper. Also my tuner mutes when I activate it. There are so many possibilities.
I was tossing around a similar idea with an a/b switch but with a volume boost and a mute because I have a bass with active and a bass with passive pickups. Beavis audio has some good designs that could be expanded upon.

Mostly cause you can get one cheaper.

The problem is largely the enclosure. Wah enclosures do not make for a good volume pedal (IMO), and that's all that's available.
Jacob

That's the part I was uncertain about. I know I hadn't seen the enclosures anywhere. Thanks!

General Questions / Volume Pedal

Is there a reason nobody builds volume pedals? I'd like to have one I'm pretty sure and building pedals is way cooler than buying them for sure.

So I want to build a cave dweller and I have a question with regards to caps. The only cap that is specific to type is the tant cap, everything else just gives values, and doesn't specify box or otherwise. Does it matter as long as the values are correct?  ;D

Generally, the type of cap is user choice, not anything else. I prefer to use film caps wherever possible. The main reason we don't in some instances is either cost or size related.

thank you. There is a conversion table I found listed here that converts to the different values http://www.csgnetwork.com/capcodeinfo.html so the pf , uf nf thing didn't make sense to me because you can convert MicroFarad to and from NanoFarad, and when i looked at builds I see different types of caps.
