GuitarPCB is running a 30% off sale too.
I'm saving so much money that I won't have any left... :o

The Rub A Dub doesn't look too bad. I'm planning on building hat vero when my belton brick arrives.

Also an FYI Antique electronic supply is having a 10% off sale until the end of the month! I just ordered a couple of belton bricks from them.

No better time for me to part with my money :o

I would think you could enter for best finish at least? Might be worth checking.

Nice work! Love the enclosure. I've gotta try folding my own enclosure as I have a metal shop at my work. This may just be the inspiration.

Sometimes mistakes end up fitting in with the theme, I think the messed up paint on the bottom kind of makes it look like a galaxy.

Build Reports / Moon Lander
November 23, 2014, 05:40:53 PM
I built a GuitarPCB DSOTM Luna Fuzz and called it the Moon Lander not realizing that JMK has a pcb called the moon lander... I hope no offense is taken. As you may be able to tell from the pics, I'm not exactly a perfectionist... the pots are a little cockeyed, the paint is a little bit crinkled... Oh well. Overall I'm mostly happy with this one. The guts don't look too bad. The stomp mounted pcb makes it a bit easier to have neat wiring though I tried pretty hard to screw it up wiring the wrong pot twice and making the leads too short. For some reason I seem to always have trouble fitting things into 1590B enclosures, almost more so than 1590As. I guess I need to work on precision. I'm happy with the ability to fit top mounted jacks for minimum profile. I used 2 bc107b and 1 2n2222 transistors because that's what I had and it sounded good. I started with all 3 2n2222 and didn't really care for it so I dug up the 107s. Anyway It sounds pretty good.

Very nice! "Why not?" is always a god starting point.
And I have 2 more 1590A boxes, we'll see when inspiration/madness next strikes.

It sounds good! Complete with authentic crackle! I figured an always on buffer with a switchable boost would be great for the beginning or end of a long chain of pedals.

This is my SHO from RullyWowr's oshpark shared layout, and the guitar pcb buffered bypass board. I had one of each laying around so I figured why not stuff that all into a 1590a...

Making an appearance in the gut shot is another SHO which was my first 1590a build.

I'm thinking about building a standalone cab for the rotating speaker. Has anyone here done that with this type of rotating speaker? The cheeswheel style as Mark Hammer informed me at diysb, a vibratone apparently not technically a leslie.
Also I found the service manual, not sure anyone will be interested in checking it out but I'll put the link here anyway, it will make it easier for me to find it in the future.

Yeah, not planning on hacking this one up for parts or anything but I'm hoping to get it fully working.

Lowery symphonic holiday because why not? I picked this up at a thrift store for under $20. Got it home, plugged it in and it's working! Mostly. Some of the slide pots are busted and others are just missing knobs. It has an internal Leslie, the mechanical portion works but there is no sound coming out of it. I'll have to do some troubleshooting there. Overall it sounds pretty good!

Here is a metal can ca3080

This is the chorus section, are the 3 plastic circle things the BBDs? They have six legs and are socketed. Basically all the ICs are socketed.

Here is the Leslie removed for testing

I'd be interested in a board and parts! Very cool.
