Dude, you built it upside down!!
Ok, seriously looks great!

That's funny. The pictures are right side up on the website, but I saw you posted from your iPhone, and when I look at the thread on my iPhone they are upside down.... bizarre.

Off to decal my Serendipity build. Will report back :)

What's your overall impression of the PulsarProFx decal system?  Your results look great

I've had it for about two years now, I go back and forth. It gets fantastic results when you do it right, haha. There is a big learning curve, and don't even think about skipping a step in Frank's instructions. He's great and will answer any questions you have. But I've got the hang of it now. I'm back to using it while I work on getting my powder coating and screen printing setup done in the garage (a long way away). But yeah, be patient, and follow the instructions, and you are good. Only downside is the initial investment. Starter Kit, decent laminator, heat gun, etc.... it's not cheap. I guess that, and the fact that you only get one shot to get the placement right, haha.

go on ....

:)

Yeah... so a few thing, I did this board right around the same time that Jacob released his ET board, and his clean blend board, haha. So, I held onto my initial prototypes, and eventually gave them, and the layout, to a friend who has a small production going on. So, that's what happened there.

Thanks for all the kind words. Sorry for the delayed response, took my 3 year old son on his first overnight tent camping trip to Mammoth Cave State Park in Kentucky. If you saw my Boomstick build, you'll read that he's a dinosaur theme, so not only do they have great camping up there, but they also have Dinosaur World, haha.

Build Reports / Sparkplug (Madbean Sparkplug)

Holy. Crap. I love this pedal. Wish I hadn't waited so long to build it! Great job, Brian!

Again, spray paint. PulsarProFX for the decal.

A while back I had done this board, so had a few sitting around. Decided to build one up as I'm building a new pedalboard. Just spray paint, and the PulsarProFX decal system for the graphic. I can't wait to build my spray booth in the garage so I can start powder coating again....

Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either, i've been using this station for a year now and really, really, like it. Aoyue 701A++

Ian, I'm thrown off by that little attachment on the soldering iron. I would worry it would get in the way when I'm working in tight situations. What does the little attachment do and is it worth it?

Jacob

That little attachment does come off. When you are using the soldering iron, you can turn on a fume intake and that sucks the fumes right up. It's just held in by a little screw. Just loosen it and it slides right out. The clips that keep the intake "hose" and wire for the iron are incredibly cheap and break easily. If you never plan on using the fume intake, you can remove that tube completely, or do what I did and replace off the clips with little zip ties.

I'll be another one to mention Reverend. I've sold all my guitars and replaced them with Revs. Only Non-Reverend I have is my '79 Kramer DMZ-2000 (aluminum neck era).

Anyway, I love Reverends, so any of their bolt on series HB models would definitely get a look from me. Next bolt on purchase for me will be a Charger HB. You can even search and look for their discontinued Roundhouse model, which was very much a LP.

Thanks guys!

Yeah I've had a Lowrider I'm still troubleshooting, but that's a whole new thread completely, haha. I took a break from that to do this one.

Alright, so while I'm in the new house, I haven't set up my powder coating setup until I can build a proper spray booth and upgrade to a decent oven. So for my personal builds, where I don't want to spend the $$$ on powder coated boxes, I've been taking my time with rattle cans making sure it looks good....

ANYWAY... I'm at Lowe's with my 3 year old son, and he asks why we're there and I tell him that daddy needs to buy paint for some of his pedals. He then tells me "You need a pink pedal, daddy." Seeing the opportunity for a fun little moment with my son, I say ok. We get home and I ask him "Eli, what picture do you think should go on this pedal?" He is all about dinosaurs (and all about Batman), so he tells me that it needs a T-Rex on it. So we get on Google Image search and I search for "T-Rex line drawing"... we scroll through a few pages, not finding one that he likes and then he blurts out "THAT'S BATMAN ON A T-REX, DADDY!" and sure enough, it was.... I love the Internet.

Here is my Boomstick build. Built on one of Haberdasher's etched boards, graphics applied with the PulsarProFX dry transfer system.

And the Guts.

I just found out that they made a series of the "Green Arrow" franchise of DC comics. I just had to watch it and I am pleasantly surprised. I have to say, I haven't read any of the comics, because comic books are rather rare in Europe (why ever), so I don't know how it matches up.
Anyhow, I like the show and will watch "Gotham" next, which is obviously based on the Batman franchise. Nevertheless, Batman is not in it. Jim Gordon is the protagonist and the series takes place starting after Bruce Wayne's parent's death. sounds promising to me :)

We really like Arrow. Like anything based on the comics, they take a lot of liberties with the origin, etc., but it's still a great show. Tomorrow the same network airs the series based on The Flash, and I'm sure there will be plenty of crossover, and I'm really looking forward to that one.

I've always used the resharpened bits from DrillBitCity. As long as I didn't use excessive force/pressure, they always last a decent amount. http://drillcity.stores.yahoo.net/restool.html
