Holy cow Dan.  That's a mass of Pedals and boards.  You're one ingenious dude.

Totally with you on that.  I'll miss getting the large packing paper.  It was useful for several other things.

You get free ground at $20 and free overnight at $50.  That's still not a bad deal.  Not hard to get a $20 order.  I guess they finally figured out they were paying more for shipping materials than shipping costs lol.  Gone are the days of getting one cap shipped free :'(.

Glad to see you back at this.  I didn't read any of the other replies so if this is repeated sorry.  You confronted personal problems, aired them out and explained what was going on.  That takes much courage so press on.  People just need to forgive and understand we're all different and handle things in different ways.  You've been missed by loads of people on here.  Again, glad to see you back at this.

That's a really nice build.  I like the contrast of the knobs.
There's that subtle way you mounted the LEDs.  Matching black switch covers.
Minimal graphics and easy to read labels for the pots.  A little bit of name variety on the 3PDTs.

For me, those two knobs for Master and Gain really scream, "Use me, I've got good sound!"
I think my only personal niggle is the washers on the switches.

overall score:  97/100  A+

Well I was going to use steel washer for the switches and I guess I didn't get the holes cleaned out enough because they caught the decal an lifted it a little and they wouldn't cover the spots.  Just one more thing with this thing lol.  And thanks for the compliments.

Build Reports / Cascadia,Finally

This has been on going since Jason sent out the boards months ago. When I finally got it together I put the switch board upside down (Jason pointed that out when the thing wouldn't work).  Once fixed, it fired right up.  Then I decided I wanted to try a different color, ie, copper and that turned into a 4 time paint and repaint. If someone likes the color I do not recommend using the Rustoleum copper paint.  I found it to be a real PITA.  Then it took 4 decals to get it to this point.  I got so fed up with finishing it I just said the hell with it and pressed on.  Anyway, as others have reported this is an awesome pedal worthy to be placed on anyone's board.

Very funny.  Problem is that my Cascadia circuit doesn't sound like you beat it together.

I believe you'll be happy with one.  I got a Tele body and neck from them a couple of months back and they're fine.  I think the lemons are few and most of their guitars are ok with a little work.

Well too much temptation. I ordered the Organ Donor since it's something I kinda always wanted. Did find a very brief audio clips here:

Yes, that's a good thing to point out - thermals often take a tiny bit more effort depending on how wide the thermal tracks are. Also, what temperature are you guys running your irons?

700 on mine.  I know that's a little hot but I try to get in/out quickly.

Seem to have this problem with a few pads on every board.  Most take solder well then I get Twi or three that I have to keep at to get it to flow.  Using Kester solder also. I thought it was just me.

When you run into that issue, check to see if the problem pads are connected to a ground or power plane. If so, you're having trouble because all that extra copper makes a good heat sink.

Thanks. That's very enlightening info.  That wouldn't have even crossed my mind.

In 2017 I found my guitar collection growing quite a bit with the addition of a Johnny Marr Jaguar and a Johnny A Custom.  Of course, I told myself that I don't need to buy any more guitar.  And of course, I totally failed at that.

That's a real pretty looker.  I continue this struggle, as you, swearing off buying another guitar I don't really need.  Lucky I went ahead and did what you did last month and bought a D'Angelico hollow body which has become my favorite guitar.  So in my case I'm glad I did this time which it appears you are also.  It's a fine looking instrument.

Hmm, the set up would be even easier if one left the chips powered when not selected, then you'd only need to vary 2 positions (the data and clock pins). A 2P6T would let you have a 55 effect pedal.... Good lord this could get ridiculous in a hurry... Do I really need a pentacontakaipentagon?  :o

You smart guys mod this out so the not so smart guys (me) can copy LOL.  This post caused me to get out my Molecular Disruption Pedal last night and start playing with it.  3 of these boards stacked in a box could really have some fantastic sound potential.

I'm going to ask a stupid question and plse don't take this as an intelligence insult but did you correct all the mistakes on the board as outlined (The jumper, resistor and trace cut)?  I myself have forgot to correct board errors outlined in the bdoc.

The meaning for the chip letters are on their data sheets.  The ones you used are what I would have used for the build.  Most of the time the letters indicate packaging info.  But when in doubt check the data sheet.

As far as the cap I don't think it would cause that huge of a drop but someone else who is smarter than me can answer that.

If you corrected all the board mistakes go back over and reflow all your solder points and look for bridges between pads.  Make sure your off board wiring is correct and there are no stray wires touching. Posting a picture (front/back) can also help when it comes to troubleshooting.  Some of the guys on here can spot problems quickly.
